Another great event for the ASI! 🍷

Ten days away from home, dedicated to a meaningful cause: **finding the world’s best sommelier.** @asisomms_

A big thank you to @shinya.tasaki.sentir and @olivier_poussier_sommelier for opening the doors of the committee not only to world champions, but also to continental champions and Masters of Wine with a background in competitions. Bringing together such a wealth of experience and perspectives makes this process even more valuable.

The days are long and intense, and we have to be 200% focused as we work through the scoring sheets, carefully designed, reviewed, and refined to ensure the highest possible standards.

But beyond the work, these events are also a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with colleagues from all over the world and discover incredible wines — this time from Portugal, Austria, and Moldova, as well as some fascinating sakes. 🌍🥂

Congratulations to all the candidates, especially the semi-finalists. The level was exceptionally high this year! And a huge bravo to the three finalists @pascalinelepeltier @nikolaisvorte @ohmochi0422 and specially to the winner @nikolaisvorte 👏

I won’t hide the fact that I was really hoping to see a woman win this competition — and especially someone like Pascaline. ❤️ But competitions are competitions, and in the end, the results are determined by the scores and the criteria behind them.

Proud to be part of this journey, to contribute to our profession, and to witness the incredible talent shaping the future of sommellerie.

Argentina Reloaded · London Edition

With @pazlevinson and @christinarasmussen_.
Hosted by @sagerandwilde and @trivetrestaurant.
Masterclass, walk around tasting, pop-up, dinner — and many conversations around Argentine wine.

Once again, London reminded us that Argentina has much more to say: extreme landscapes, distinctive producers, sharper profiles, and a wine identity constantly moving forward.

Thank you, London. See you soon.

Our time in London continued at @trivetrestaurant.

The day began with a masterclass led by @pazlevinson and @christinarasmussen_, exploring the regions, varieties and producers that speak to the diversity of Argentine wine today.

The Walk Around Tasting then opened up the conversation, bringing together sommeliers, restaurateurs, importers, press and members of London’s wine community, alongside the producers who joined us for this edition.

Different origins, perspectives and ways of making. One shared intention: to keep broadening the conversation around Argentine wine.

A Sunday in Hackney, with Argentina in our glasses.

On 20 September, we returned to @sagerandwilde to begin our London edition with @pazlevinson. Argentine wines by the glass, conversations at the bar and tables spilling out onto the pavement.

An afternoon discovering the diversity of Argentine wine and sharing the stories of the people behind it.

Thank you to @aokilais and the whole front-of-house team for looking after us, and to everyone who joined us.

London has long had wine at its heart. From barrels arriving along the River Thames to the wine bars and restaurants shaping today’s scene, the city has always been a meeting place for different regions, perspectives and ways of making wine.

On 20 and 21 September, Argentina Reloaded returns for a new chapter, bringing the diversity of Argentine wine to @sagerandwilde and @trivetrestaurant.

A selection curated by @pazlevinson. Two days to discover Argentina through its landscapes and wines.

London, here we come.
