A trip to some other time in some other place. Shirakawa-go. Call it Shangri La or Paradise or anything else but it was just heavenly. Mountains and meadows. And I got a John Wayne shot in there too.

Kyoto 2 of 2. Walking around Kyoto Station was strangely magical. Lots of lights that make you go “ooh look at those lights!” It even had its own Backrooms set. Love this place.

Osaka back alley. Pre-people.

Don Quixote. Sp? Everything you never wanted but suddenly need.

Osaka Castle. 1 of 12 castles in Japan remaining. There used to be 25000 +. Now there are twelve. Hm.

What a way to end the school year. It’s not everyday your former student becomes the #1 director in Hollywood. And not every day they come to visit their old stomping grounds for a beautiful special screening of that movie. Welcome home @kanepixels. Thank you for the Q&A and your endless grace. May @backroomsmovie continue to flourish and you continue to shine. A great night!

I cannot begin to describe the joy, the love, the pride and all the feels the @backroomsmovie premiere has brought me. Reuniting with @kanepixels - and on the red (er, yellow) carpet no less! - was so moving and wonderful. It also reminds me that hard work, passion, and one’s superb character can be rewarded and I am thrilled that Kane is the well-deserved recipient of this magnificent praise. The movie itself is mind-blowingly amazing. The world knows not what it holds. But Kane does! And I am thrilled to have been there since the beginning. Thank you Kane, @a24, @atomicmonster and the whole team of filmmakers. Fantastic job and thank you for taking care of my boy.
Best. #teacherappreciationweek🍎✏️📚. EVER.
