Hi, I’m Melissa! 🤍 I’m a yoga teacher and certified sound practitioner based in Folsom, California. I’ve been practicing yoga for over 20 years, and I love sharing these practices in ways that feel welcoming, accessible, and meaningful. These days, much of my work takes me beyond the yoga studio. I bring sound healing, yoga, and breathwork into workplaces, wellness programs, and communities throughout the Sacramento area. I especially love building ongoing relationships with organizations that want to make wellness a regular part of their community. I also create private sound bath experiences, host retreats, and offer my signature Inner Alchemy™ sound baths. Whether we’re gathering around a conference table, settling onto yoga mats, or exploring somewhere new on retreat, I love creating opportunities for people to slow down and reconnect. If you’re new here, welcome! And if you’re interested in bringing one of these experiences to your workplace, community, or private gathering, I’d love to connect. You can explore my offerings through the link in my bio. ✨ Photo by @everminephotography . . . #soundhealing #nervoussystemreset #soundbath #sacramentowellness #folsomca by @peaceful_melissa

I had a conversation with a friend and fellow yoga teacher today about something that really landed for me… Yoga reminds us that we can do hard things. That we are stronger than we think. That we are capable of more than we give ourselves credit for. That we can show up, even when things feel uncomfortable or challenging. In yoga philosophy, there’s a concept called tapas, our inner fire. The discipline, dedication, and willingness to lean into discomfort in order to grow. And I think that’s one of the most beautiful things about this practice. It’s not about achieving the perfect pose or pushing ourselves beyond our limits. It’s about learning to trust ourselves. Finding the balance between effort and ease. Knowing when to challenge ourselves and when to let go. Because what we practice on the mat has a way of showing up in our lives off the mat, too. Every time we show up, we remind ourselves of what we’re capable of 🤍 Come practice with me this week. Thursdays & Fridays at 12:00 pm @leapyogafolsom See you on the mat. ✨ Photo by @aliciakortasphotography . . #YogaPhilosophy #YogaBeyondTheMat #Tapas #YogaPractice #FolsomYoga by @peaceful_melissa

Gathering with our beloved yoga community last night at Leap Yoga in Folsom filled my heart with so much gratitude. Coming together to hold James Kapicka in our hearts and practice side by side was a deeply moving reminder of the power and warmth of this collective space.🤍 It was truly beautiful to witness the collaborative heart and care of Stacy and Melissa from Leap Yoga, Summer from Summer Moon Yoga, and Stephanie from Santosha Yoga Collective. Together, they curated a heart warming practice that allowed us all to drop into presence, connect deeply, and hold James in a sphere of total love and support.✨ To every single person who showed up last night, thank you for your presence, your energy, and your love.🤍 If you weren’t able to make it in person, you can still support James directly. Please consider making a financial contribution to support him by visiting the link in his Instagram bio @jameskapicka. Every bit of love and support makes a difference.🙏🏼 There is also another wonderful opportunity to show up, connect, and immerse yourself in this incredible yoga community. Join us at Leap Yoga this Sunday for 1, 2, or all 3 free yoga classes: 9:00 AM – Vinyasa (60 mins) 10:15 AM – Kaiut (60 mins) 11:30 AM – Yin (60 mins) Because this is a completely free event, early registration is encouraged so you can save your spot. Thank you, thank you, thank you to this beautiful community for showing up so fully for one another. You are a gift.✨🤍✨ #yoga #yogaislove #yogacommunity #love #bethelightyouwanttosee by @peaceful_melissa
