HOT TAKE: Scrap the Elite 15 and Challenger 15. Introduce an Elite 30. The results from Hamburg raise some serious questions about the current format. Men’s Singles: 6 Challenger athletes recorded times among the fastest 15 across both races: • @jannik_czapla — 53:58 • @fred.dube80 — 54:21 • @greyson.kilgore — 54:47 • @xavier_dufour_ — 55:02 • @jakedearden_ — 55:05 • @julien_coquillaudsalomon — 55:22 Jannik Czapla’s 53:58 was the 5th fastest time of the day. Men’s Doubles: 8 Challenger teams recorded faster times than the last-placed Elite 15 team. 5 of those teams also recorded times among the fastest 15 across both races: • @louis_osselaer & @emilemattheeuws — 49:15 • @thierryraoul & @hidde.w — 49:19 • @hakan_burton & @mick_stee — 49:52 • @erikwoodie & @erikoscarboe — 50:13 • @grahamhalliday_ & @liammccroary — 50:20 That’s 11 Challenger athletes or teams across Singles and Doubles recording times among the fastest 15 in their respective disciplines. Granted, the races took place four hours apart, but surely that’s even more reason to have everyone competing under the same conditions? If the Elite Series is designed to showcase the best athletes in HYROX, why split them into two separate races when the results suggest the fields are so closely matched? 30 athletes. One start line. Let the racing decide. Is the current format really producing the best possible competition, or is it time to rethink it? What do you think? by @peakhybridgroup

@aidenmartin7_ welcome to Team Dios. Aiden Martin - a 21 year old athlete out of Falkirk, Scotland with already 3 Hyrox World Championships appearances. One of the most promising young athletes in the sport. We are proud to have you on the team. Next up: Hyrox Dubai November 27. Against the odds. by @peakhybridgroup
Unpopular opinion: Some athletes with 50,000 followers are less valuable to brands than athletes with 5,000. Some of the best athletes in HYROX barely use social media. They aren’t posting every training session or chasing followers, yet they turn up and consistently finish on the podium. Does that make them any less valuable to a brand? A big following doesn’t automatically mean genuine influence, and a small following doesn’t mean an athlete has nothing to offer. At PHG, we believe there’s far more to athlete sponsorship than follower counts. What’s everyone’s thoughts on this? Especially those working in or with brands. Are follower counts still being given too much importance when choosing athletes to sponsor? 👇 #HYROX #PeakHybridGroup #AthleteSponsorship #SportsMarketing by @peakhybridgroup

JOEY DOCHERTY 🤝 HYROX YOUNGSTARS Proud to announce that Joey Docherty has officially signed as a HYROX YoungStars Ambassador. Since joining Peak Hybrid Group, Joey has continued to show exactly why he’s one of the most exciting young athletes coming through HYROX. At just 15, he already has three HYROX YoungStars victories, taking 1st place in Amsterdam, London and Berlin, alongside running PBs of 17:37 for 5K and 36:36 for 10K. This partnership feels like a natural next step for Joey and gives him the opportunity to represent HYROX YoungStars as the sport continues to grow amongst the next generation. A massive achievement and thoroughly deserved. by @peakhybridgroup
We’re proud to welcome Emma Dearden to Peak Hybrid Group. Emma has established herself as one of Scotland’s top female HYROX athletes, with standout performances across both individual and team competition. Most recently, Emma won the HPX Elite Female Pairs alongside her partner, successfully defending their title and making it back-to-back wins at the event. She’s also represented Team Scotland in the relay at the HYROX World Championships and took 1st place in the Women’s Pro Doubles at HYROX Glasgow. With another HYROX season ahead, we’re looking forward to supporting Emma as she continues to compete at the highest level, chase more podiums and build on everything she’s already achieved. We’re excited to have Emma as part of Peak Hybrid Group and can’t wait to see what this season brings. Brands looking to work with Emma, please get in touch. by @peakhybridgroup
