BEYOND THE RADAR GUN | Preston Yost

There’s a lot more to player development than throwing harder, hitting farther, or chasing numbers.

Preston Yost has been part of our PBP community since middle school. We’ve watched him grow from a young player training alongside his buddies into a driven, independent athlete who learned to take real ownership of his development.

Now a RHP at McDaniel College and a former Middletown High School state champion, Preston is learning what it truly takes to compete at the college level.

One of my favorite things he said during our conversation:

“Training at PBP taught me how to coach myself.”

That’s powerful. And that’s exactly what we’re trying to build here.

Our latest player feature takes a deeper look at Preston’s journey, the adjustments he’s made at the college level, and the lessons he’s learned along the way.

Proud of this kid. Even better, we still get to see him back in our facility, putting in work and setting an example for the next generation.

Full story now live on our blog. Link in bio.

We’ve spent the last four months quietly testing Pro-Led At Bats inside PBP, and the development we’ve seen has been incredible.

Live pitchers. Live hitters. Catchers. Trackman. Video on every rep. Real-time coaching throughout the session.

The goal is simple: build a better bridge between practice and the game.

We’re now opening PLABs up to the larger baseball community. Space is intentionally limited each hour. by @pease_baseball_professionals

Hey everyone! It’s Dustin Pease :D I started giving lessons in 2007 between pro seasons and went full time in 2016. From Frederick parks, to rented cages, to Kings Court, Yukon Court, and Mt. Airy, Pease Baseball has grown from just me to 15 full-time coaches. We’ve helped 100+ players reach college baseball and 8 reach the pros. If your player needs pitching, hitting, fielding, catching, or overall development, we’d love to work with them! by @pease_baseball_professionals

IT’S OFFICIAL PBP nabs another great coach, full-time in Mt. Airy.

Robert Brooks is joining PBP as a full-time instructor, bringing years of professional baseball experience, high-level playing success, and a strong development background to our athletes.

Another incredible addition to our professional staff & giving our Mt Airy community another step up!!! Big time moves!

You can build cages. Buy equipment. Create programs.

You can’t manufacture culture.

That has to be built over time… by the people who walk through the doors every day.

We asked our players what it’s like to be part of the baseball community inside PBP.

They talked about the seriousness of the players around them. The older guys they look up to. The younger players watching them. The standards. The relationships. The environment.

This is probably one of my favorite videos we’ve made because none of it came from us.

It came from them.

Players build themselves. We’re part of their journey.

If your player is looking for an environment like this, learn more about PBP membership below.

What happens when serious players have a place to call their own?

A place to train. To compete. To learn. To be surrounded by others who want more.

That environment has always been at the heart of PBP.

This is what it looks like from the people who experience it every day.
