🪑 The chair is our ballet barre. Holding it keeps your frame still: arms, shoulders and chest stay locked. That leaves only your hips and feet free to move. Why it matters: in traditional bachata, your partner reads everything through your frame. If your hips pull your shoulders along, your lead gets blurry and your partner feels noise instead of intention. Train it isolated first, then take it back to your partner. Tag the partner who needs this chair. 🪑 👀 #bachata #bachatalisbon #lisbon #dancelisbon #bachatasensual partnerdance digitalnomadlisbon expatslisbon dancedrill lisboa by @pedromtrindade_

4 ways to do a sarrada in bachata 🔥 The sarrada comes from Brazilian zouk: a playful move where the leader's leg meets the follower's on the beat. It's meant to be fun, a little game between partners. In bachata, we like to enter it from a diagonal/Madrid basic, but it also works from the side basic or the box step. Like in zouk, it works best when the music has energy and a strong, marked beat. When a song is carried by soft vocals and melody, it usually doesn't fit in our experience. The trick is finding those songs, or those moments in a song, that call for it. Which variation do you prefer? Tell us the number 👇 Save this so you don't forget them 📌 #bachata #bachatalisboa #sarrada #brazilianzouk #bachatafusion dancelisbon by @pedromtrindade_
We don't think in single moves. We think in families. A turn, a footwork pattern, a traditional hip movement, and then variations of each one, mixed with other dynamics. That's where the flow and the contrast come from. But the most important part of any combo is that you enjoy dancing it. ✨ Do you call any of these steps by a different name? And how do you keep your figures varied when you're dancing at a social? This is what we work on in our Bachata Fusion Intermediate class: 📅 Every Tuesday, 9:15–10:30pm 📍 Dance Factory, Campolide, Lisbon 🎓 @pedromtrindade_ @xenia.miranda #bachata #bachatafusion #bachatacombo #bachatalisboa #bachatadancers partnerwork by @pedromtrindade_
❤️🔥 🎵 🧂🔥 Sal Grosso @anitta ! Keep growing, keep dancing and keep shining! ✨ LT PRO TEAM 🖤🔥 📍 @dance_factorystudios #brazilianzouk #dancetraining #zoukbrasileiro by @pedromtrindade_
This week we're focusing on a very classic combination and how we can make it loom more "advanced" with more dynamic circular pathways. For us these changes are not about making the movement more complex but mostly to make it more fun to do in your dancing. Let us know what we should do next. 🤗 🎓 @pedromtrindade_ & @xenia.miranda 🕒 Bachata Fusion - every Tuesday at 9:15 PM 📍 Lisbon #bachata #bachatafusion #bachatalisboa #aulasdebachata #bachatadancers by @pedromtrindade_

Same combo, side by side. Left: plain. Right: with arms, feet and hips. The steps don't change. The feeling does. In class, we go into the details of how to add these elements to your dance. It's not about collecting combos. It's about moving with quality, so you feel the music more and dance with more confidence and expression.
