Before we take a 3-week break with the Jam, you can still be blessed with some very unique sounds and rhythms this Thursday... courtesy of the NATALIA PASSOS 5TET! Drawing inspiration from slightly dark fairy tales and rural folklore, Natalia Passos 5tet explores a genuine folk-jazz sound shaped by Natalia’s Slavic and Brazilian roots. Natalia Passos is jazz vocalist and composer, whose folk jazz project explores the richness and complexity of a multicultural identity, also incorporating influences from pop, soul, and modern jazz. Inspired by slightly dark fairy tales and rural folklore, her quintet invites listeners to wander through their thoughts, like taking an insightful walk in a park. Her music is influenced by artists such as Cécile McLorin Salvant, Milton Nascimento, and Vedan Kolod.
