Small shop with a website? There's now a shared robots.txt line meant to say "don't train AI on this": User-Agent: __usage_ai-training / Disallow: /

OpenAI says it will honor it in the coming months (per Borncity and aiweekly, Oct 30). It's voluntary, it isn't a crawl block, and it can't undo past training.

Back up your robots.txt before you touch it.

Apple Intelligence is coming to iPhones in mainland China in December with iOS 27.3, per Apple's Chinese newsroom (Oct 31). Developer beta from Nov 4. Qwen handles parts of Siri, Writing Tools and Visual Intelligence.

Not included: Siri AI and the next-gen features shown at WWDC 2026.

Apple CEO John Ternus told Wired they don't want to "ship AI for AI's sake" (via TechCrunch). This rollout kind of reads that way.

Day 1 of a daily founder log. 21 local Vancouver shops contacted, 0 replies, 0 clients.

I honestly don't know yet where it breaks. Wrong person, bad timing, or an opener that sounds like every other pitch. Next try is one question instead of a pitch: what eats most of your week?

Shop owners, what would make you answer a stranger?

Day 27。 by @pengchengnl
