Got told I have no social skills, no class, and an ugly outfit. Then asked to leave a party. Sometimes, showing up authentically costs you. #Authenticity #SocialSkills #StandingUp #RealTalk #Identity #Rejection #Resilience #SelfRespect #PeopleRemix by @peoples_remix

Dropping this clip right here for now. Happy Friday! Trans Representation: Is It a Clown Show?
Exploring the complex symbolism of clowns and their connection, or lack thereof, to the trans community. A critical look at representation. Corey recounts seeing someone dressed as a clown with vibrant hair, large earrings, and dramatic makeup, noting their full beard and makeup, and questions how this appearance fits into the broader scene, especially given his own trans family and friends. #TransCommunity #RepresentationMatters #100dayvisibilitychallenge #Identity by @peoples_remix

Walking in incogniggro to navigate labels. I'm a Black, queer, trans man, but I am who I am. You get who you get. Silence in Portland as a Black gay artist. Coming out at 27 on Divorce Court was brave, freeing, and costly. Some collaborators stayed away, but true friends remained. #ComingOutStory #LGBTQ+Artist #Authenticity #HipHopCulture #DivorceCourt #PersonalGrowth #ArtAndIdentity #TrueFriends #ReelsStory #peoplesremix #coreyaction #portland #hiphop #homohip #rapper by @peoples_remix

Came out at 27. Grew up in turbulence, mom in and out of prison, born behind bars. Music reflected my street upbringing, selling drugs as a teen. Faced hate in the rap scene, overlooked as an underdog. #ComingOutStory #MusicJourney #OvercomingAdversity #StreetMusic #PersonalGrowth #UnderdogStory #AuthenticLife #ReelsInspiration #portland #peoplesremix #hiphop #homohop #Coreyaction by @peoples_remix

Filming in Trader Joe's, a lady backed her car up on me. My character, a passive-aggressive white person, let loose microaggressions on stage. It's how I release my own. #Comedy #Character #Microaggressions #Authenticity #Relatable #Reels #Performance #Insight #Humor #SelfExpression by @peoples_remix

No respectability politics here. If they misinterpret me, that's okay. My energy is for those who get it. #NoApologies #Authenticity #BeYourself #ReelsVibes #RealTalk #OwnYourTruth #SelfExpression by @peoples_remix
