Hyrox Nashville, we coming for ya! 😎💪🏽 by @performancewithprice

Summer is here, and there’s no better time to learn a new skill, build confidence, and get a great workout in. 🥊☀️

Direct message me “Flow” to get started on your next session. by @performancewithprice

I wasn’t able to race in NYC with Alyssa this time, but I was grateful for the opportunity to cheer her on and capture some content behind the lens. 🎥🖤

Over the next few months, I’m investing in a new camera lens to take my action shots and race-day content to the next level. The goal is simple: get as much practice as possible before HYROX Nashville and continue improving the quality of what I create.

If you’ve been thinking about booking content coverage for your next race, event, or fitness shoot, now is the time. Lock in your rate before my pricing increases in December. 😎📈

Let’s create something great together. 🎬🔥 by @performancewithprice

Life update: This is a season of pivoting.

Unfortunately, I won’t be competing at HYROX NYC.

Since my accident in Dallas, my body hasn’t fully healed. And when I say my body, I’m specifically talking about my heart.

Last Thursday, while pushing a race-pace effort (7:15-7:30 mile pace), my heart rate became stuck between 195-204 BPM. After meeting with a cardiologist on Tuesday morning, I was placed on the “no physical activity” list until we can determine exactly what’s going on. I have a procedure scheduled next week, an echocardiogram later this month, and I’ll be wearing a heart monitor to determine whether or not I’m dealing with SVT.

To be honest, this one hurts.

The athlete in me wants to lace up, compete at a high level, and leave it all on the field chasing a new PR. But the father in me knows that being here for my kids is far more important than a patch, a podium, or bragging rights.

It’s been a long time since I’ve cried over something I truly wanted for myself.

I’ve trained harder than ever since my accident in Dallas. I’ve run more miles than I ever have preparing for a competition. I’ve worked to lower my resting heart rate from over 70 BPM to 46 BPM. I’ve put in the work, made the sacrifices, and earned the opportunity to compete.

But God has a different timeline.

And I’m learning that He’s not saying “never again.”

He’s simply saying, “not right now.”

So for everyone competing this weekend and in the months ahead, remember that you have an able body. Don’t take that gift for granted.

Push yourself for those who can’t.

Push yourself for the family members who are no longer here.

But most importantly, push yourself for YOU.

Leave nothing on the table.

I love and appreciate all of you. I’d be lying if I said this news didn’t hurt, but if you know me, you know this is just a minor setback before a major comeback.

The comeback story is already being written.

I’m incredibly grateful for this opportunity and truly excited for the journey ahead. It’s rare to find a workplace that values its members and their experience as deeply as this one does. It’s just as uncommon to see a team invest so much time, knowledge, and training into its trainers to ensure they’re fully prepared for every person who walks through the door. If you haven’t experienced this space yet, you’re genuinely missing out.

“I CHASE HABITS.” 📌💪🏽

I stopped chasing the likes, approval, attention, old habits, long nights out, friendships that didn’t pour into me and EVERYTHING else that was holding me back.

I NOW focus on chasing my future with my kids, heart heath, a better lifestyle, below the surface level friendships and more importantly a life that allows me to pick up my cross daily.

I heard this quote in church not too long ago. “Heart disease ran in my family UNTIL IT RAN INTO ME.” If you know my background then you know how profound that is for me. Whatever you’re chasing in life right now. I hope it’s freeing you and helping you transition to the best version of yourself

The link for NYC Presale goes live tomorrow morning. I would love to help you CHASE a better version of you while I’m also chasing a better version of myself. The Hyrox community we’ve built at @carbon_nations can’t be duplicated. Don’t “wait until next season,” to get started. You got the opportunity to do it NOW!
