When was the last time you checked your watch for the time - not your iPhone? Today, many wear watches less for function than for form. In essence, watches function as wearable timepieces, but true value lies in their visual aesthetic. That paradox inspired @watchlabnyc founder Peri, who merges horology with fashion by embedding second-hand watch heads into garments and accessories. When we reached out, she explained - “Watch Lab is a New-York-born label that transforms timepieces from instruments of function into elements of design.” Peri approaches watches not merely as wrist wear, but as studies in aesthetics, structure, and symbolism. Today, as fashion rethinks its ecosystem, sustainability becomes essential, pushing the brand to reimagine what already exists. Each hand-picked watch head carries a past life, repurposed and reimagined into a one-of-one creation. The result is a shift from watches as finishing details to design itself, restulting in rare, wearable objects that reflect Watch Lab’s ethos of individuality and collecting culture. Periodic collection releases expand Watch Lab’s evolving universe, where every object tells its own story.
