POSTS STORIES REELS

I strapped my two backpacks with me and went on a solo backpacking trip in Asia and Middle East for year after graduating uni.

It was the most transformational journey I’ve ever had in my life. From saving up for the trip up to the very moment I came back home with not just two backpacks this time but with a heart filled with so much love from myself and from all the people I’ve met 🥺❤️

I met the most amazing, kindest people while solo traveling. They showed me the different sides of humanity. That despite what other people say “don’t travel there because it’s so dangerous” or the men commenting on my posts that “they’re going to 🍇 you”. The people I met, men, women, children, uncles, grandmas, did not shoo me away nor did they inflict harm instead they helped me navigate my way, introduced their beautiful culture, cooked me delicious meals that western media is saying is “dangerous”.

They helped me have a safe and wonderful journey in their beautiful countries ❤️ Certainly a journey that I will never forget💖✨

There are dangers everywhere. And yes people don’t have your best interest at heart all the times but the question is, will you live your life not taking risks? You can literally die from choking in your own spit 🫠

We will all die anyway, might as well live it the best as you can while you’re alive? ❤️ Just a perspective ✨

I spent 3 months traveling through the Philippines, moving across the northern, central, and southern islands especially Mindanao❤️

Even though I was born in the Philippines, I left when I was young, and lived in Norway ever since. As a third culture kid, my understanding of my own country stopped at around 14. Over time, I felt more and more disconnected from my motherland

So I came back, not as a tourist, but to reconnect❤️

I’ve been lucky to travel around the world and experience many cultures, but this was the first time I truly chose to immerse myself in my own. And it changed something in me.

This journey brought me closer to our history, our indigenous cultures, and the traditions that were slowly erased or reshaped through colonization. It was eye-opening, but also deeply emotional🫶🏼

For a long time, I didn’t feel proud to be Filipino. At one point, I even struggled with it. But returning, listening, learning, and unlearning made me see my country in a completely different light✨

The Philippines is not just a place. It’s rich in nature, history, resilience, and culture that deserves to be remembered and lived🇵🇭

To the new generation, we carry more than just identity. We carry memory. And we owe it to those before us, our ancestors who fought for freedom and imagined a nation of our own to keep our culture alive, in whatever ways we can.

Always choose to come home to who you are🇵🇭❤️

Maligayang araw ng kalayaan Pilipinas 🇵🇭❤️

I didn’t really know what to expect traveling through all the Stan countries including Iran…but it ended up being one of the most eye-opening trips I’ve had 🌍✨

From wandering through Silk Road cities to figuring things out in local bazaars and quiet mountain towns, every country felt different but also similar?. And as a solo female traveler, you really notice the small things: how people treat you, how safe you feel, the overall vibe.

Some places made me feel instantly at home, others pushed me out of my comfort zone… and a few completely surprised me in the best way ❤️

If Central Asia has ever crossed your mind: Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, even Afghanistan and Iran, this is your sign. It’s not always easy, but that’s kind of what makes it so special.

Save this for later if you’re thinking of going ✈️

Have you been to any of the Stan countries, or which one are you curious about? 👇

First female in the bloodline to train Muay Thai 🥊🇹🇭🙏🔥😮‍💨

It’s been 2 weeks since I started training Muay Thai in Chiang Mai and honestly, I trained to get back in shape not even planning to fight in the ring. However, within these two weeks of showing up everyday at the gym, training, getting so many bruises, and pain all over my body, my fighter spirit awakened inside me. This was the first time I pushed myself so hard in a combat sport, it’s so addictive 🔥

I’ve been hiking for years now and usually my heart rate and trainings stay in zone 2 but goddamn Muay Thai is in zone 4 and 5. Ngl it was really hard but so proud of the progress I made🙏

Thankful for a healthy body and mind that allows me to do these things everyday 🔥 To my trainers and gym @xmaxthaiboxingclub thank you so much 🙏 Progress over perfection 🥊

Already over a month in Southeast Asia!!🇹🇭🇰🇭🌎✨ Time flew by so quickly! 😭

From driving a Tuktuk across Cambodia to now training Muay Thai in Thailand, it’s been a crazy month🤧 Nonetheless very grateful to call this my everyday life now but ngl it can get very exhausting to do so many adventures in such a short period of time. I met old friends whom I traveled with before, new friends, and people I went to school with❤️ Thankful for all these people in my life! 🫶🏼✨ Love u guys! 🫶🏼

A Norwegian passport opens 185 destinations without a visa. A Philippine passport opens 65. Same dreams, same curiosity, 120 fewer open doors🌏

I have roots in both countries, and that gap is something I think about every time I travel. Some of us can book a flight and go. Others face visa rejections, tight budgets, family expectations, or real safety concerns before we even get to the airport. Adventure travel for women looks very different depending on where you were born and what you carry with you.

That’s why I’m building @pathbreaker.adventures , a women’s travel community and small group trips for women who want to go beyond the usual tourist trail🎒🌏

A group trip won’t erase every barrier. But it can be a space where you feel supported, included, and like you truly belong out there🥺🩷

Tell me in the comments: what has made travel harder for you, and what helped you go anyway? 💬

If this is the kind of travel community you’ve been looking for, the link in my bio is your way in. Save this for the next time someone says travel is just about booking a ticket.

I used to think adventure travel wasn’t made for someone like me🌍

Growing up in Philippines and moving to Norway at 14, I knew what it felt like to be the person who looked different. And when I started travelling solo, I searched for women who looked like me exploring the world beyond the usual tourist trail🎒

I rarely found them.

So I kept going. Through unfamiliar cultures, long bus rides, challenging hikes and countries people told me to be afraid of. Somewhere along the way, I became the person I wish I’d seen when I was starting out.

Then the messages started coming. Women who wanted to travel solo but were afraid to go alone. Women who dreamed of adventure but weren’t sure they belonged in those spaces❤️

That’s why I started @pathbreaker.adventures 🩷

To make adventure travel more accessible to women from different backgrounds. To explore off-the-beaten-path destinations, connect with local communities and build a space where women don’t have to wonder whether they belong🫂🩷

Because representation in travel matters. Seeing someone like you trek through mountains, navigate unfamiliar countries or step outside her comfort zone can change what you believe is possible for yourself.

You don’t need to be the most experienced traveller, the bravest person in the room or someone who has it all figured out.

You just need a place to start, and people who remind you that you’re capable of more than you think🫶🏼✨

If you’ve ever dreamed of solo female travel, exploring lesser-known destinations or going on an adventure but wondered whether you belong, this is your reminder: there is space for you here🫂🩷🌏
