Placed🥉 3rd in Novice Line Dance at @sactownhoedown for my first NCDC-pointed comp! Definitely had to fight my way through this dance after hurting my ankle during prelims.

Such a special weekend! Got to meet amazing choreographers/instructors, got to see my friends winning (+ @the.og.dancer winning her first buckle 🤩), and above all got to take in how amazing the dance community is in NorCal. Thanks for a good weekend y’all. 🤙🏼

Special thank you and shoutout to @perspectiveshiftmarketing (Joe) for taking this awesome video 🔥🔥🔥

I'm very thankful that @perspectiveshiftmarketing was able to capture part of this dance! Thank you so much!

@j.leigh_ and I drew each other in the preliminary round of the @pnwstompeders dance tour that qualifies dancers to move on to the final rounds, happening at @jamieleedancefest in OCT.

I'm excited to announce that we have both qualified and will be at the inaugural event, and we hope everyone can join us!

This might be a hard conversation for some people…

I think it’s ok to be sad with the results of a competition. But you can’t dwell on it and you certainly shouldn’t be using your placement as a basis for your value as a dancer.

When you put so much emphasis and value on making finals or making podium etc. you miss the entire point of dancing. You’ve lost sight of what makes dancing so beautiful…connection. Connection with your partner. Connection with your audience. Connection with yourself.
