Thank you to all who came to learn from the award-winning documentary Boycott and how important it is, especially now while authoritarianism is on the rise, to challenge these anti-boycott laws! We heard from local civil rights attorney Dima Khalidi on the history of this bill and also Oak Parker Daniel Fischer who recently spent time in the West Bank.

Keep educating your neighbors on this important opportunity to send our collective voice to the state legislature that we want to overturn anti-boycott laws in Illinois!

Another Oak Parker in Wednesday Journal explains why we should VOTE YES on the referendum! Annie Wilkinson reminds us that boycotts have helped advance civil rights throughout American history. She warns that restricting this form of peaceful protest threatens everyone's freedoms.

Oak Park resident Deborah Adelman speaks out in support of the November 3 referendum, challenging claims that it is discriminatory or divisive. As a Jewish Oak Parker, she reminds us that Jewish voices are diverse—and that peaceful boycotts are a legitimate tool for change.
