The Zulu word “Uhambo” meaning “journey” captures the essence of this EP. The project takes listeners on a healing journey by earth, water, fire and love. 💓
This body of work is a fusion of African and Colombian cultural influences. It’s a showcase of a collaboration between Colombia, Kenya, and South Africa.
Partnering with Kenya’s @_liboi_ and South Africa’s @realthabisovocalist , this EP is more than just a musical release—it is a testament to the power of South-South globalization.
Uhambo celebrates the wisdom embedded in traditional knowledge systems. These stories reflect how indigenous communities live in harmony with nature, emphasizing balance and care for the environment. Pethouse and his collaborators aim to use music as abridge, fostering cultural dialogue and inspiring action for a more sustainable future.
