Hi, I’m Geneviève, the hands behind Petit Désir Fou.

Petit Désir Fou opened in 2015, and we have evolved since the beginning to offer you thoughtfully crafted pieces that honor your personal journey.

I handcraft modern, minimalist jewelry right here in Ottawa. Every piece is designed for who you are becoming, created for the individual who wears meanings, not trends.

How to shop with me:

• Online: Click the link in my bio to browse live collections. Shipping is available to select regions.

• Via DM: See a piece on my feed that isn't online? Message me to claim it or to inquire about shipping to your area.

• In-Person: Message me to book a private shopping visit to my Ottawa studio or find me at local markets (check my 'Markets' highlight for upcoming dates).

• Pick-Up: Free local studio pickup is always available for Ottawa neighbors.

Thank you for supporting small-batch, intentional craft.

Are you shopping from afar, or are you a local Ottawa neighbor?

We create intentional, handmade jewelry for the woman who wears meaning, not trends.

Our name translates to "Little Mad Desire", a tribute to the sudden sparks of passion, memory, and personal truth that define who you are.

Rejecting fast fashion, each piece is meticulously crafted by hand, blending raw, organic metals with vibrant natural stones that tell a story.

We don’t make accessories to match an outfit; we make wearable symbols of freedom, individuality, and soul.

Petit Désir Fou because jewelry is art you carry with you.

I shared 7 compelling reasons to invest in jewelry. Today, let's dive into two of the most meaningful ones: slow fashion and small-batch jewelry. Here's why they matter.

SLOW FASHION & SMALL BATCH in jewelry is about choosing, quality over quantity, prioritizing ethical sourcing, sustainable materials, and timeless design.

It values craftsmanship, supports fair labor, and encourages conscious consumption, shifting away from fast trends toward meaningful, lasting pieces that are unique in their designs and quantity.

A little green, a little glow, a little something to make the everyday feel less ordinary. 🌿

The soft, mellow green of peridot. The earthy hues of serpentine. The depth of emerald, paired with the gentle shimmer of pearls.

Different shades, different moods, yet all finding their way into the little rituals of everyday life.
Because sometimes, all it takes is a touch of green to feel a little closer to nature.

Isn’t there always a little Murphy’s Law at play when you try to squeeze in some product photos? 😅
Oh well, there’s always another day to try again! At least these are already up on the website. 😉

That’s why shopping in person makes all the difference! You get to see the pieces up close, just as they are.

Slowly catching up on photos and adding new pieces to the website… one piece at a time.
These pearls and chocolate moonstones have been waiting patiently for their moment. 🤎✨

October calls for a little darkness... in green and white!

Silver with shadows in its texture, green stones like something unearthed, and pearls that look almost too innocent to be involved.

Just enough wickedness at your ears.

Come by this Saturday @613flea to check them out and try them on!

Not all earrings are created equal. These pieces were thoughtfully crafted to check every box.

THE FINAL DETAIL: A quiet, beautiful accessory to complete your outfit.

THE SUBTLE SHIF: Something wonderfully different for your pearl collection.

THE COMFORT FACTOR: Designed to gracefully sit over a stretched piercing.

THE SILHOUETTE: Just a little bit of length without the swing.

THE STILLNESS: A solid, non-moving earring that stays perfectly framed.

Wear them your way. 🤍

Your ears, your rules.

No piercing required. No need to match. Just a little curve, a crossover, or a twist to make it your own.

Wear one. Mix them. Play with the lines.
Jewelry doesn't need to follow the rules. 😉

No piercings? No problem! Ear cuffs let you dress up your ears without committing to another piercing or wearing clip-on earrings.

A little something extra for your ears, without the pinch of a traditional clip-on.

The reality of life is that our fingers do go up and down in size with the seasons.

Adjustable rings are a pretty answer to that little reality. I call these my Summer to Winter Rings, simply to keep things positive. 😉

Which reminds me… we’re slowly moving towards glove and mitten season. 🧤
How many of us have lost a ring while trying to keep warm?

A loose ring can slip off more easily, while ornate rings can catch on glove linings or wool fibres.
So, as the layers come out, maybe give your rings a little thought too.

Because the last thing you want is for your favourite piece to disappear into a mitten.
