A special name for a pup with a big future! 🐾💙

Introducing Valor, the second rescue dog officially selected for sponsorship by PetSmart Charities through our partnership with @k9sforwarriors! Thanks to YOUR votes, she has a name that fits her journey perfectly. ❤️

After being found abandoned in Oklahoma, Valor was rescued and given a second chance. Now, she’s beginning her training to become a service dog for a Veteran, learning everything from good manners to walking politely on a leash as she prepares for a life-changing role.

A huge thank you to PetSmart Treats Rewards members who donated their points to help make opportunities like Valor’s possible. 💙

From helping choose her name to supporting her future, you’ve been part of Valor’s story all along. Join us in cheering her on as she works toward meeting her future Warrior in 2027! 🐾

This National Black Cat Day, we're celebrating kitties like Rocky. 🖤

When Rocky arrived at our partner @WinkyCatsAshtabula, he was incredibly sick and frail. His caregivers weren't sure if he would make it, but after an immense amount of care, Rocky made a full recovery.

Like many black cats experience, he had a harder time finding a family and was passed over for months while other cats were adopted.

But on the final day of July National Adoption Week, one little girl chose Rocky to be her very own. When she found out she could adopt him, she burst into tears saying, "I'm just so happy!"

This National Black Cat Day, let's help more black cats find their homes! Stop by your local @PetSmart to meet a feline friend. 🐈‍⬛ by @petsmartcharities

Seamus found his family thanks to one unexpected stop during National Adoption Week. 🐶

While our team was fostering Seamus from @animalfriendsalliance in Denver, we brought him along to dinner to help him meet people and enjoy a little extra attention.

That's where his future family saw him.

They found out he'd be at National Adoption Week the very next day, headed to their local @PetSmart, and made it official.

Sometimes the best moments happen when you least expect them. Visit your local PetSmart before October 25, and meet a pet who's ready for their next chapter. by @petsmartcharities

Only 4 days left of National Adoption Week! Cass found his family during our last National Adoption Week, and we couldn't be happier for him. 🧡

Cass was first adopted as a puppy from our partner @wmranchnm, but 11 years later, he was surrendered to a local shelter. When their team learned he was there, they knew they had to bring him back. Cass had become blind and was missing the home he'd always known.

During National Adoption Week, Cass found a fresh start with a wonderful family who loves him unconditionally. Today, he has another dog to keep him company and a little brother to snuggle with on the couch.

We can't wait to see more pets like Cass find loving families this week. Visit your local @PetSmart through October 25, to give more pets the new beginning they deserve. by @petsmartcharities
