Behind the colorful celebrations of Pride Month, there is an urgent reality that often goes unnoticed. 📈According to a report from The Trevor Project, approximately 28% of LGBTQ youth reported experiencing homelessness or housing instability at some point in their lives. 📈Homelessness and housing instability were reported at higher rates among transgender and nonbinary youth, with 38% of transgender girls/women, 39% of transgender boys/men, and 35% of nonbinary youth reporting such experiences. LGBTQ youth who reported housing instability or homelessness had nearly two to four times the odds of reporting depression, anxiety, self-harm, considering suicide, and attempting suicide compared to those who did not report any housing instability. This is a call to action for compassion, understanding, and creating inclusive spaces where every young person can thrive🦋💛 Join us in supporting LGBTQ+ youth who deserve love, acceptance, and the opportunity to flourish.🌈 Together, we can make a difference and create a world where every young person feels valued and embraced. by @pheedphilly
1,178 unsheltered neighbors in Philadelphia in 2025. A 21% increase. Behind every number is a person with a name and a story. This is why Pheed Philly shows up every month, and why your support makes a difference. Visit the link in our bio to donate or volunteer. by @pheedphilly
You don't have to have a lot to give a lot. Every month, our volunteers show up for Philadelphia's unhoused neighbors, bringing food, water, clothing, and something even bigger: the reminder that they are seen. Ready to make a difference? Visit the link in our bio to sign up and volunteer with Pheed Philly. by @pheedphilly
We show up every month with food, water, clothing, and hygiene for Philadelphia's unhoused neighbors. But really? We're handing out something bigger: the reminder that you are seen, and this city has not forgotten you. This May, as we recognize Mental Health Awareness Month, we're sitting with the truth that homelessness is a housing problem with a housing solution. When the system runs out on people, housing is often the first thing that goes. We show up because our neighbors deserve it. Swipe to see what drives us, and visit the link in our bio to be part of the work. by @pheedphilly
Every dollar moves the needle. Behind every care package we hand out is a donation that made it possible. Food, water, clothing, hygiene, it all starts with someone deciding to give. $5. $10. $25. It adds up fast, and it goes directly to Philadelphia's unhoused neighbors. Visit the link in our bio to donate today. by @pheedphilly
May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and the connection between mental health and homelessness is impossible to ignore. Right here in Philadelphia, 50% of individuals experiencing homelessness have a mental health condition. Nationally, 30% of people experiencing chronic homelessness have a serious mental illness. And adults with serious mental illness are nearly 3 times more likely to experience housing instability. Visit the link in our bio to donate or volunteer with Pheed Philly. by @pheedphilly
What a night. 🎤 Thanks to everyone who packed @pudgespub for its very first karaoke night. We were honored to be the first hosts and even more honored to know such generous people. Together we raised over $500 for @pheedphilly! Great people, mixed vocals, excellent cause. Hope this is the first of many! by @pheedphilly
Matt brings the talent. I bring myself. Don’t forget: karaoke for charity at Pudge’s Pub Friday 4/24 at 6:30 PM. Donations benefit Pheed Philly. by @pheedphilly
We will be publicly embarrassing ourselves so money can go to a good cause. Seems fair. 🎤 Karaoke for charity at @pudgespub — Friday, April 24th, 6:30–9:30 PM. Bring cash, bad song choices, and strong opinions on key changes. by @pheedphilly
Happy first day of spring, Philly 🌸💛 A new season, a fresh start, and so much room to grow. Let’s step into it together. #pheedphilly #nonprofitphilly by @pheedphilly
