November is Indigenous Peoples Heritage Month. This month is dedicated to honoring Indigenous peoples and communities, their histories, cultures, contributions, and resilience. They are the original inhabitants, carers, and protectors of this land, and we stand with Indigenous peoples in the struggles for environmental justice, human rights, decolonization, and Indigenous sovereignty. by @phillyasianqueer
November is National Adoptee Awareness Month. This month is dedicated to centering adoptees, listening to their experiences, and raising awareness of the complicated impact, harm, and inequities of adoption. Formerly known as Adoption Awareness Month to promote adoption from foster care, adoptees have reclaimed this month as Adoptee Awareness Month to combat the silencing of their voices as those most affected. by @phillyasianqueer
November is Transgender Awareness Month! Let's celebrate, empower, and stand in solidarity with transgender, nonbinary, and gender nonconforming folks. This month also calls attention to the issues and challenges impacting the community, such as anti-trans legislation, violence, and discrimination. #Queer #AAPI #Philly #Philadelphia #Community by @phillyasianqueer

Happy Intersex Awareness Day! Today is dedicated to understanding the experiences of intersex people and supporting their bodily autonomy and human rights. On this day in 1996, intersex activists and allies demonstrated at the annual American Academy of Pediatrics conference to oppose nonconsensual medical interventions on intersex infants and children. Facing secrecy, discrimination, and pressure to conform to binary definitions of sex, intersex people deserve to be recognized, respected, and empowered with the right to make informed decisions about their own body. by @phillyasianqueer
