I sparked some debate with not using hot stones the other day👀 I knew from the moment i started my business i wanted to work with athletes and active people in pain. So why would I add a service that’s associated with a relaxing spa day? That doesn’t quite fit the brand I’m going for. And i still think about that when adding new services, add ons, or taking a new CE. Just because you CAN offer a lot of different services, doesn’t mean you SHOULD. If your ideal client doesn’t see your business and KNOW they will get what they need from you, take a look at what your branding says outside of your logo. by @phoenixperformancemethod

WAIT! Did you read that lease THOROUGHLY? Even the repairs and maintenance clause? If you don’t like something in your commercial lease, you CAN negotiate! Don’t be afraid to ask for certain things! Having a lawyer, commercial real estate agent, or business coach look over it too can help a GAME CHANGER! They might notice things you don’t 👀 #massagetherapistcoach #phoenixperformancemethod #massagetherapist #entrepeneur by @phoenixperformancemethod
A quick structural assessment you can do with clients: Why are we doing this? This gives a very objective view on where restriction and limitation is happening in the body. Even though you may feel stiffness/pain in an area, your body can show limitations elsewhere too This gives a more full picture look for your therapist! Therapists: what else do you do in your assessments? #massage #sportsmassage #knoxville #knoxvillemassage by @phoenixperformancemethod
💬 Why I Coach Massage Therapists + Clients Toward True Healing: Before I ever laid hands on someone else, I was chasing perfection as a bodybuilder. 🏋️‍♀️ Prep season was brutal—constant fatigue, pain, no sleep, and a mind that wouldn’t slow down. I booked a massage thinking it would just loosen my tight muscles... but I walked out feeling something I hadn’t in weeks: calm, clear, and actually connected to myself. 💆🏻‍♀️ That moment changed me—but I didn’t know how much until later. It wasn’t until I injured my shoulder and back doing deadlifts that I turned to a sports massage therapist. In just two sessions, the pain was gone. But it wasn’t just the pain—it was the belief that my body could heal, and I didn’t have to live with these new injuries. I became obsessed with learning how massage could not only relieve tension but help people come back to themselves—physically, mentally, emotionally. But there’s a ton of things you don’t learn in massage school. I was flying by the seat of my pants every day, failing and failing until something worked. That’s why I started coaching. I help massage therapists refine their skills and build a thriving practice while also helping clients take ownership of their healing. And I teach both how to use massage not as a band-aid—but as a way back home to your body. This work changed my life. And I’m here to help others feel that shift, too. 👉 What brought you to massage therapy—giving or receiving? Share your “why” in the comments or DM me. I’d love to hear your story. 🧡 #MassageTherapistCoach #HealingThroughMassage #MassageTherapis #MassageJourney #knoxvillecoach #phoenixperformancemethod #coaching by @phoenixperformancemethod
