Welcome to Photographique Studio. A brief introduction to what we love most of all.. feminine portraiture.

Lighting, posing, styling, clothing, hair and makeup, even image handling and retouching all caters for the unique needs of women.

Many people can point and click a camera but do they know how to minimise your insecurities, watch for where you might hold tension in your face and body?

Do they know how to enhance your best features and direct you into poses that will communicate warmth, friendliness, sensuality or strength?

I’ve created an environment that will make you feel at ease and at home. This is a safe space to unfurl, to explore and expand your self perception. It’s a path of self discovery with a bit of glamour and luxury to enhance your unique photoshoot experience.

I’m here to guide you every step of the way so you can see yourself unlike ever before ✨

THE CREATIVE INGREDIENTS:.
The image is a composite of in studio work & lighting, digital artwork ie background flowers and light leak overlay (purchased elements) and generative ai (for foreground petals).

This is pretty typical of my fine art workflow. It still requires an artist’s brain, creative decision-making, and an understanding of what to add and what to leave out for aesthetic sake.

I really enjoyed playing with this one.
Twas a little creative session a few months ago- feed the soul.

A BACK of HOUSE look at @tasmanianfashionfestival from @photographique.studio point of view. Well just some of it.

Nine months of committee meetings and planning, building on the back of the previous year’s successes and tweaking things that could’ve been better. This year feels like we reached the level we had always dreamed of. We nailed it!

A tremendous shout out to Tanya @s.and.i.styling all you’ve achieved and the main driving force behind all that TFF has become. To the other TFF committee members past and present.. you’ve made it possible, especially my marketing partner @mel_redman who’s lightened my load, also Celyna Ziolkowski, @jjadettaylor, @livv__russ, Sharon, Eve, @stefania_di_maria_ware @sally_lowe @_call_me_caitlin, Tobias Ellie @temposocials.co @malaka_photography_tas

To everyone who’s showcased, modelled, volunteered, donated and bought tickets or supported in any way.. thank you! by @photographique.studio

What to wear? Simple items can work extremely well. Subtle colour that works with your skin tones and hair works best. I especially love the tones and harmonious colour palette in these. Very elegant and I believe there’s an enduring quality in such.

In any case, I can help you decide what to wear for your photo session. I can pull together a cohesive and visually pleasing image collection with various backdrops and editing techniques that make you the focus of attention.

Exist in photos, live in art. See yourself in a new light ✨

This audio hit me in the throat… yes.. it’s why I’m here.

Aside from my duties working with TFF, I’ve had some downtime to think about the direction of Photographique Studio.

Ai has stripped me of the hope I could continue to create whimsical creative style images because, hey it can outperform me and my compositing skills.

However something Ai cannot do is provide a warm heart, a welcoming and safe space, a place to feel seen and a moment entirely for you- no-one else.

Here permission is freely granted to have a beautiful record of you and your feminine soul & spirit captured in Photographique art.

Yes sometimes we all need someone to show us and our beautiful butterfly wings-

If you’d like to start a conversation with me, I AM HERE ❤️

POSING: many balk at the idea of being posed and yet it’s a great way to explore different ways of seeing yourself.

By talking with you, I endeavour to get to know who you are, the different facets of your character & personality. We then move through multiple outfits, props & poses to discover what images feel like a good fit, a representation of who you’d like to see shown back to you.

It’s not stuffy, it’s actually a lot of fun. I call it a play day. We experiment and see what we can create together.

Very few of my clients are models. Everyday people (myself included) are not able to determine what to do with our bodies in relation to what the camera sees. It takes a bit of practice to do so…hey I still can’t photograph myself well.

However, my expert eye looking through the lens will give you lots of direction & cues, helping you to feel more comfortable and confident.

Yes my images are posed. It’s a process and another way to help you look awesome & feel great.

More of these sessions please 👏🏼😍 I love helping women feel beautiful 🥰

Photographique Studio is working towards better, more specific strategies around how to show you to the version of you that you wish to connect with.

Perhaps you’ve never given this consideration… but everyone deserves to be remembered in a way that honours who they are and also explores the different facets of one’s identity.

Dignifying people through beautiful images has always been at the core of Photographique. Reach out if you’d like to discuss how we can create a showcase of who you are, who you’re becoming and an enduring legacy to leave behind.

Step in to the lovely light ✨

Announcing Author Duncan Richie and his newly published novel! The Truth Chamber is a fast paced political thriller drawing from his interest in political history and ‘what if’ scenarios that now, do not seem too far from current events.

Duncan came to me for headshots and then brought his sidekick companion Aletheia ( Al’e) -a lovely Malinois doggo into the studio for portraits.

Thanks so much for entrusting this photographic opportunity & privilege to me Duncan and congratulations on your exciting accomplishment!
