They say a photo says a thousand words, and in this case I wholeheartedly agree. After 11 years together, Theo and Rachel got married at the beautiful @bendooleyestate. Surrounded by their nearest and dearest, they said their I do's and then as you can see, let their hair down!🍾🍾 It was an honour to be their wedding photographer and I wish them a lifetime of happiness, fun and mischief together! ❤️❤️ #. . . . . #wedding #weddingday #bendooleyestate #weddingphotography #canberraweddingphotographer #weddingphotographer #champagne #love #heroshot #weddinginspiration #weddinginspo #inspo by @photox.au

A little username and logo update for Photox! 📸 When I started Photox over 16 years ago, it was just me. Since then, it’s grown into a company with a talented and ever-growing team of photographers, videographers, content creators and drone pilots who I know I can rely on to consistently deliver the quality of work Photox has become known for. With more people behind the cameras, “photoxben” no longer quite reflected the business we’ve become. So you’ll now find us as @photox.au across Instagram and Facebook. It also matches our website, photox.au, which makes things nice and easy! You may have noticed our updated logo appearing over the past few months, too. I’ve put the old and new versions here so you can see how things have evolved. Another little change as the business grows and matures! As for me, I still wear many hats: Photox’s Lead Photographer, Creative Director, marketing manager, client liaison officer, location scout, gear wrangler, studio cleaner, chief battery charger, memory card formatter, weather predictor, IT helpdesk, unofficial wedding coordinator, emergency safety pin supplier, reluctant accountant, professional “just one more photo” negotiator and the person who’s usually obsessing over that tiny detail in a photo edit that nobody else will notice! When you message us, I’m still the one responding, offering advice and organising your shoot. And unless we’ve discussed otherwise, I’ll also be leading the shoot on the day. For bigger weddings, conferences, festivals and events, you’ll often find several of us working together. I’m looking forward to introducing more of the team here and sharing the people behind the work. Thank you to everyone who has booked us, recommended us, followed along and trusted us to capture something important over the past 16 years. You’ve helped build Photox into what it is today, and I’m incredibly proud of how far we’ve come. What do you think of the updated logo? I’d love to hear your thoughts! - Ben by @photox.au

WHAT A NIGHT!!! @floriade_australia’s NightFest is alway one of my favourite events to not only photograph, but to attend. Last night Canberra was treated to main stage performances from Aussie indie rock legends @thetempertrap, and Canberra’s own @lilybmusic_! I honestly could have uploaded hundreds of photos today from their sets, but I think this photo shows the vibe of the night perfectly! So good! by @photox.au
🌷 FLORIADE 2026 OPENS TODAY! 🌷 Photox was invited to yesterday’s media launch for a first look at Floriade 2026, opening this morning in Commonwealth Park. This year’s Feast of Flowers theme brings together flowers, food and local produce. Appropriately, Chief Minister Andrew Barr helped cook pumpkin ravioli on stage. More than one million blooms will fill the park, with garden beds inspired by seasonal produce, edible landscapes and the colours and textures of food. But first - FLORIADE HAS A NEW FERRIS WHEEL!!! After years of the old Ferris wheel creaking and screeching its way around, the new wheel feels like a substantial upgrade. It was almost silent during our ride, and each carriage can be rotated by gently turning the pole in the centre, letting passengers choose their view. At 35 metres, it’s the same height as previous years, but somehow feels higher and offers a fantastic uninterrupted view across the gardens and Commonwealth Park. Also new is The Garden House by Bunnings Warehouse, a multi-use pavilion hosting cooking demonstrations, workshops, talks, Q&As, cultural experiences and live podcasts. Guests include Karen Martini, Mindy Woods, Stephanie Alexander, Justine Schofield and Simon Bryant, alongside chefs from Les Bistronomes, Lunetta, Such and Such and Pilot. Some free sessions require bookings, so check the program before visiting. NightFest returns from 1-4 October with The Temper Trap, Tim Finn, Christine Anu, Busby Marou and Pacific Avenue. Love Boats Canberra is also operating a scenic ferry between Kingston Foreshore and Regatta Point, with morning and afternoon services. On weekends, 90-minute sightseeing cruises depart Regatta Point at 10:30 am and 12:30 pm. Visit the @loveboatscanberra website for schedules, prices and bookings. Floriade runs from 12 September to 11 October and is open daily from 9:30 am-5:30 pm. General admission is free, although some rides, workshops and events are ticketed. Photos from yesterday’s media preview. Who’s planning to visit this year? Visit the @floriade_australia website for the full program. #Floriade #Floriade2026 #Canberra #VisitCanberra #SpringInCanberra by @photox.au
Last year, I stood at the Patients Australia Patient’s Choice Awards incredibly humbled to receive the Outstanding Community Pharmacist Award. This year, I returned to serve as a judge and help recognise the extraordinary work of others. I had the opportunity to review five incredible finalists, each demonstrating in their own way what patient-centred care looks like. To me, they were all winners, because behind every submission are real patients, real communities and professionals who have chosen to go beyond what is expected of them to create better health outcomes, greater access and meaningful change. Congratulations to Anna Theophilos, this year’s Outstanding Community Pharmacist. A thoroughly deserved recognition of work that is innovative, measurable and making a genuine difference for patients. Seeing the collective commitment in the room was special, from pharmacists, doctors, nurses, allied health professionals, advocates, students and leaders. Different roles, but a shared purpose: better care for patients. Thank you to Patients Australia, Lisa Robins, Michele Robbins and the entire team for continuing to put patients at the centre and for creating a platform that shines a light on healthcare professionals whose work deserves to be seen and celebrated. And thank you to The Pharmacy Guild for its continued support of community pharmacy and the people working every day to strengthen the health of their communities. Congratulations to all finalists and winners on the night! Photos credit to @photoxben 🙏 #patientschoiceawards2026 by @photox.au
