❤️🪽 Here's to you Matt- missing you so much already sweet friend. Thank you for all the joyous moments you left us with and for always making everyone who met you feel seen Sending everyone who knew him all of my love by @pickininthebackwoods
We are absolutely devastated to hear about the passing of our friend, Matt, head man of Yes Ma’am. We’ve been friends with Matt for a while now, and this one was a blow. We are so thankful he was willing to play our stage not once, but twice. We feel incredibly lucky to have shared that space and those moments with him and all of you. Hug your people tight. Reach out if you’re struggling. Check on your friends. This community is very special. Love on one another....we already know you will. We know so many of you loved Matt, just like we did. We are incredibly sorry for everyone who is hurting and grieving this unimaginable loss. Let him live on forever through his incredible music. We will miss you so much, Matt. ❤️‍🩹 -Your Pickin' family 📷: the incredible @____zenia 💛 by @pickininthebackwoods

NEXT UP - THE GROUNDS! eXplore Brown County at Valley Branch Retreat has been the home of Pickin’ for the last 3 years, and we absolutely love this place. Over 10 years ago, Justin went to a festival there and said that if he ever put on a music festival, he already knew where he wanted it to be. Fast forward a few years, Patrick and I toured the property with him and we were quickly on board. It really is the perfect spot for a smaller, intimate festival. There’s so much there: Amazing shade Group cabins Shower house The stunning wedding barn we use as our green room A freaking awesome permanent stage A lake Playground Retro campers And plenty more eXplore Brown County also has a ton of activities you can enjoy while you’re there, from zip lining, airsoft and paintball to catch-and-release fishing, canoeing and camping year round. Check out everything they have to offer at https://explorebrowncounty.com/ THANK YOU eXplore Brown County for allowing us to host Pickin’ on your beautiful property. We truly couldn’t imagine a better home for this little festival of ours. by @pickininthebackwoods
@mrliamstjohn at @pickininthebackwoods lit that stage on 🔥🔥 I couldn’t wait to get back home and cover one of my new favorite songs. Another band you HAVE to see live! by @pickininthebackwoods
