Thanking U.S. Representative @reprobinkelly for her many years of service to our country. During her stellar career she has championed health issues serving as the chair of the health braintrust for the CBC, and been the standard bearer for issues impacting Black women, boys and girls. Pigment International thanks her for her support of the arts and for entering Black Fine Art Month into the Congressional record in 2019. As we celebrated the unprecedented ascendence of Black women into the highest levels of government during last nights midterm elections we salute Sheros like @robinlynnekelly for all she has done, and we can’t wait to see what’s next 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾! by @pigmentintl

🎨 October is Black Fine Art Month! Hear from Sari, a third-year participant in GCYC’s Arts program, as she shares her experience visiting the Spectrum Art Show produced by the @redwoodartgroup ✨

Thank you to @pigmentintl for inviting us - our young artists had the opportunity to explore the show, experience incredible and creative works of art, and hear from Chicago-based Black artists @legomyedo and @reggie.mcfly. They shared their journeys as artists, offered personal insights into their experiences, and inspired our youth to continue exploring their own creative paths. ❤️🖌️

Our Black Fine Art Month Convening Chicago to the World explored how to fortify and expand the Black art ecosystem. During the day we engaged with art leaders across the Midwest for an afternoon of dialogue and fellowship. So many people and organizations to thank for making the day a success. #sscac #blackfineartmonth #pigmentintl #pigmented by @pigmentintl

Thanks to the team at Pigment for another opportunity to speak to an engaged and captive audience of art collectors, art musems and arts institutions around the Chicagoland areas and the Midwest about legacy in art collecting at the University of Chicago Logan Center for The Arts. @loganuchicago

A robust conversation was had around topics of estate planning, provenance of collections, the roles and responsibilities of gallerists and collectors within the context of legacy in art collecting.

The legacy of @richardhuntsculptor by his foundation was a very informative conversation about his influence on the landscape of public sculpture in Chicago and around the world.

Beautiful day in the big city. CHICAGO. ❤️

We’re honored and grateful to be part of Chicago to the World: A Black Fine Art Month Convening presented by Pigment International. 🖤🌍

This Friday, October 23, we’ll join an incredible community of artists, curators, cultural leaders, and visionaries at the @loganuchicago to celebrate the power of Black art, culture, and creative legacy.

We’re especially grateful to have been invited to close out the reception with a special performance of our new single, “God Somewhere.” 🙏🏾🎶. Joining us will be:

🎤 - vocals @elisalatrice
🎺 - trumpet/vocals @samthousand
🎹 - keys @aurauvagod
🪘🥁 - percussion @cpaquettemusic

The love and support surrounding this record has meant so much to us. Every listen, every share, and every person who has connected with the music reminds us why we continue to create. God Somewhere is part of our ongoing exploration of Black culture and identity across the Diaspora. Our music is designed to explore what’s possible beyond mainstream media’s and stereotypical labels of Black culture.

We’re looking forward to being in the room with the people like you who help shape the future of Black art and culture in Chicago and around the world.

Much love to @pigmentintl and everyone making this gathering possible.

Chicago to the world. God Somewhere. 🖤
