Mom & daughter dinner date at @theredchickz 😋
Flying in for good food and making memories along the way.

Hi, new friends!

For those who don’t know me yet, my name is Maria Alejandra, but I usually go by Alejandra. 😊

I’m a flight instructor, aviation enthusiast, and self-proclaimed foodie. I’m originally from Cali, Colombia, so yes, salsa, coffee, and good food are definitely in my blood! I’m also completely obsessed with seafood and Asian culture and cuisine.

I started flying full time in 2023, and aviation has quickly become such a meaningful part of my life. While I would absolutely love to fly for the airlines someday, I’m excited to explore all the different opportunities aviation has to offer.

My long-term dream is to fly for @upsairlines or @fedex , and if the opportunity comes, I’d love to build my experience in corporate aviation along the way. But ultimately, I trust that God has a plan for me, and I’m happy to follow wherever He leads.

Thank you for being here and following along on my journey! I’m excited to share more flying, food, adventures, and everything in between with you.

Grateful for every moment we shared, Grandpa. I wish you were here for these memories too, but God’s plans are greater than our own. ❤️ by @pilot.alejandra

Grabbed my sister in Christ, and headed to Gao’s BBQ & Crab! We enjoyed a seafood boil loaded with crab and shrimp, juicy lamb kabobs, chicken kabobs, and more. If you love seafood and Chinese BBQ, add this spot to your foodie bucket list! 🤤

Who’s coming with me on the next one?

I found a hidden GEM in OKC! @gemnailsparosecreek

By far one of the best nail appointment experiences I’ve had in a long time. From check-in to checkout, the staff was so helpful and accommodating, and I loved the transparency throughout the process.

But my FAVORITE part? The massages! Oh my… I was so relaxed I could’ve fallen asleep. 😭

If you’re in the OKC area, definitely add them to your list and go experience it for yourself! Tell them Pilot Alejandra sent you. Book your appointment friend.

And of course, I had to make it a little more fun and fly myself there! I used @tulsaflighttraining for my aircraft rental.

From swimming with otters and feeding big cats to feeding a rhino, our visit to @tanganyikawildlifepark was an experience we’ll never forget! 🥹✨

I love creating memories with my daughter that go beyond the ordinary. If you’re looking for a unique family adventure, this is your sign to add Tanganyika Wildlife Park to your bucket list!

Would you swim with otters or feed the big cats first?

Maria Alejandra Perlaza (@pilot.alejandra) is logging hundreds of flight hours in her quest to become a commercial airline pilot — many of them with her 9-year-old daughter, Gabriella, by her side.

“What I really love is a representation of the video, especially for other people, my color or Hispanic,” Perlaza told @vladduthierscbs. by @pilot.alejandra

As a pilot, I love turning my flights into foodie adventures, and this time I flew to Dallas to visit Cris&John Mexican & Vietnamese Restaurant to try their famous Angry Pho Birria Platter!

The combination of Vietnamese pho and Mexican birria is something you HAVE to experience for yourself!

@chinchikurindfw 🇯🇵❤️ I was craving Japanese food, so I hopped in the plane and took myself on another adventure.

Here’s what I ordered:
Gyoza, Negi Mamire, & The Loaded Kaisen with Extra beef and egg on the side.

The Loaded Kaisen is packed with seafood flavors, and if you love exploring unique Japanese dishes, this spot deserves a place on your foodie bucket list!

Reminder: romanticize your life, take yourself on the date, try the food, and enjoy the journey.

Would you take yourself on a solo date like this?

Thank you to the amazing @shenaniganzfun team for having us and making this such a memorable day for my daughter! From flying in together to spending the day playing, eating, and having fun, this was definitely a mother-daughter adventure we’ll remember. ❤️

And of course, when it comes to my airplane rentals in Tulsa, I always use @tulsaflighttraining . If you’ve ever wanted to rent an airplane, take a discovery flight, or learn how to fly, check them out!

Tulsa Flight Training takes over the OK State Fair! 🎡

And if you know me… I will ALWAYS sign up for a flight if food is involved!

If you’re thinking about flying to the fair, renting an aircraft from @tulsaflighttraining it’s easy and affordable. I had the plane for a total of 6 hours, flying from KRVS → KPWA, with a 2.4-hour flight time.

And of course, I have to give a shoutout to Atlantic Aviation at KPWA, one of my favorite FBOs, and the front desk young lady is always the sweetest! 💕

Who’s ready to fly to the fair?
Thank you for having us @okstatefair

Some girls want flowers. I wanted a Lamborghini and a little adrenaline rush.

Would you try this for your next solo date?
