A couple cute bunny sourdough loafs hopped into my kitchen 🐇🍞🩷 by @pinkbowbakes

I tried some new things for my annual gingerbread Eiffel Tower this year!
1. I tried @jackelinnepastry gingerbread dough recipe and loved it! Great for construction and for eating! Will definitely be using it moving forward and I can’t wait to try the pastry shop stencil I purchased from her Etsy shop! The cut outs I did in this design worked so well that was something new I did this year.
2. I tried using caramel to glue my pieces, a new technique for me - it was so much faster for building but in my humid climate it started melting after a week and doesn’t seem very stable long term. It also stained my white royal icing brown 😢 I should have foreseen that. I might try using isomalt instead as a clear option but I think I’ll stick to my trusty royal icing for building in the future!
3. I preferred the white on gingerbread look but with patches of the icing being stained by the caramel I dusted it all with gold which I don’t mind either just wasn’t the end results I was picturing!
4. I really like making the same design every year and improving upon it each time! This is definitely my best one yet!
