This afternoon at 4pm, enjoy the sounds of @voices_radio resident, @piratecura. Meeting at a late night warehouse event in LA, we immediately bonded over our similar taste in music. In addition to his radio show, he is a member of @bunkerlv, a collective that contributes to the local Las Vegas music scene. Some words from the artist:

I wanted to write a breakdown of my hour-long set for Piratecura’s Voices At Night show in June (🔗 bio). I start exactly halfway through.

As with many of my mixes there's a wide gamut of sounds covered. Here I steer through new age electronica, breakbeat, tech-house and all manner of funky and wonky things, and thought it'd be interesting to write about them too - pulling back the DJ brain curtain, so to speak.

My MO for this mix was ʎʞuoʍ ʇı dǝǝʞ! So, there's a fair bit of Will Hofbauer (3 appearances 😱), Bushwacka!, Dennis Quin, DJ Sprinter and Braga Circuit; it's a percussive, woozy warm up/after hours session.

I start at 1:00hr but Mitri’s preceding hour is an exploration of atmospheric downtempo and amorphous ambient soundscapes, before mutating into pulsating IDM and otherworldly sonics, perfectly cueing up my groovy-techy mix.

Outs to @piratecura for inviting me and letting me flex the funk.
