I’m still waiting for that retrograde nonsense to pass, and now have trust issues with astrology reels on TikTok. #October kept me in theatres, in courts, in front of mics , great food and different battles.

I survived by eating, laughing, painting, yapping and ignoring all consequences.

A #September that strengthened. The month brought in clarity through some sad truths that may never change. I’m learning to make peace with the fact that there are those who live in alternate realities to mine, and not let them get in my way. Grateful for the positives that make my choices worth fighting for.

Rainy mornings…. by @pissupoosa

#August signaled the arrival of my new furjoys, and pretty much everything else that happened during the month just took second place in importance.

I needed another cat so I got three.
Meet Fred, George and Ginny - named after the Weasleys, but also possessing longer names because I’m that cat mom:
Freddie Purrcury
George Purrnard Shaw
GIngerella

In the midst of perimenopausal hot flashes exacerbated by the searing climate temperatures, #July was sprinkled with lots of moments of inspiration. I was lucky to interact with some amazing people - some I have known for a while and others became new heroes. My heat-coping mechanisms were also strengthened by multiple interactions with the furry kind, who never fail to make life a little more livable.

Sometimes all it takes to achieve a sense of peace and emotional healing is stillness and the company of an animal in a quiet room, to escape from everything else in the world.

#June was about journeys - new work, new roadtrips, new people to meet and new stories to tell. Along the way, the familiar popped up to ground me and give me something comforting to come home to.

May signaled the ending of a few things and the beginning of new stories. Insane heat mixed with relentless rains, locking down new work and moving one step closer to my ideal state of give-no-f**ks attitude towards life.

Cooking my way through two months in Sydney. It deserved a post. Pretty easy to pretend one is on Masterchef, in @johanndealwis ‘s well-equipped kitchen.

Whizzing past #April, with creative outletting in Sydney and coming home to my comfort zones. Stepping into new adventures in May, so this was a month of truly resetting and finding peace and smiles in little pockets. Am I recharged? Absolutely not. But I’m prepped for whatever comes next.
