Do you know what Deliberate Practice is? Does your player demonstrate this intrinsic behavior? Seriously think about this question before pushing them to compete. We need more guiding and supporting of realistic expectations that are driven by a player and LESS pushing unrealistic personal desires onto players that ignore their own personal exploration and growth. #listen #learn #habitsoverhype by @playherlab

🚫🎓 The practice of parents enrolling their children in private training sessions without their child showing any self-initiative has gained significant attention. While well-intended, this approach undermines genuine development. 💰⚽ With private trainer costs ranging from $40 to $100 or more per hour in the United States, there’s a risk of equating success with financial investment rather than genuine effort and dedication.

Adding to the challenge is the proliferation of so-called soccer professionals who serve more as glorified babysitters than genuine coaches. In such a crowded and ambiguous landscape, it becomes increasingly difficult for parents to discern who truly cares about their child’s development and who is merely focused on profit.

By outsourcing training without first considering a child’s intrinsic motivation and commitment, parents inadvertently devalue the importance of hard work and perseverance. This not only undermines the essence of personal growth but also denies children the opportunity to cultivate autonomy and self-determination in their pursuits.

At PlayHer Lab, we recognize the vital importance of holistic development. Our philosophy is clear-cut: prioritize off-field growth first, nurture consistent habits, and reward dedication with complimentary training opportunities. We are committed to guiding athletes on their journey to excellence, both on and off the field. Join us as we redefine the youth sports experience and empower athletes to become the best versions of themselves. #PlayHerLab #YouthSports #Empowerment #holisticdevelopment by @playherlab

🌊 In a sea of sinking ships (clubs) and underwhelming coaches (captains), we’re confronted with a critical choice in how we navigate and shape our perspective. Let’s not diminish our kids’ struggles by succumbing to politics or paving their path to success for them. Instead, let’s prepare and empower them for the unpredictable challenges this environment presents. This is the invaluable lesson sports impart: resilience. 💪 Let’s not undermine it by fixating on what’s beyond our control. Remember, it’s about the Sailor, not the ship. 🚢 #EmpowerKids #ResilienceMatters #SailorNotShip #youthsports #struggle #clubsoccer #sportsparents #habits #habitsoverhype #analogy by @playherlab
