Our June meetup will be at this amazing (and free) piece co-created by amoebaite @allemims !! Join us to meet fellow creatives after exploring this immersive piece <3 Show at 7pm, museum exploration 8-9pm, optional drinks/hang after at Mito. For the show, RSVP direct to the project (link in bio). For the hang, DM @playwrightamoeba to let us know you'll be there! The Museum of the Other is an adaptation of Black Reconstruction in America by W.E.B. DuBois, that serves as a living museum to bring a portion of DuBois’s text to life, co-created by Dezi Tibbs and Alle Mims, with support from The Assembly's Deceleration Lab and Hi-ARTS. The Museum explores the Civil War, Reconstruction, and its far-reaching implications on the United States and the world. Part staged reading, part visual storytelling, the script mainly pulls directly from primary sources to immerse the audience in the history, while the exhibits link that history to today. The show will begin at 7pm, with museum hours from 6-7pm and 8-9pm. Thursday, June 4 at Hi-ARTS L10 Arts and Cultural Center, 10 Lafayette Ave, 4th Floor, Brooklyn, NY 11217 by @playwrightamoeba
