‘water my plants’ music video is out now !! by @poetmistry

The lucky leaf right over my head 🍁 …oh and also I made a music video that’s kind of cool!?!

And it’s for NICE music! Just a normal song with lyrics and a nice melody and chords (that I played on the piano!!) One of the few songs I’ve made that has actually gotten stuck in my head.

The whole thing just came together so quickly. Every song was like “nuvaring-mix-9.wav” but ‘water my plants’ just sort of stayed as it was right after we recorded.

We had to make it the album closer because it just felt so right but obviously that means less people are gonna hear it 🙄 so we had to do the VIDEO (which was actually pretty fun to make. Catch me walking around the town green with my laptop in the rain! Shoutout @dreamtourist_ as always for his great performance.

Big shout out to @rajahbetta for letting me do a sneak peek of Distant Trees : Plastic Melancholy (and a bunch of other unreleased stuff) on the Betta Sounds SoundCloud.

Loved getting flex some of my new age faves and drop this Oneohtrix Point Never x Frogs in Space mashup (slide 2). Thanks to everyone who’s been messaging me about the new album. It’s meant the world to hear all your lovely thoughts! by @poetmistry

Distant Trees : Plastic Melancholy, my collaborative project with @dreamtourist_ is out on Bandcamp today!

My first attempt at writing some nice enjoyable “songs” but still with plenty of weird noises! Huge gratitude to Dream Tourist for taking my fragments and helping me shape them into a full-fledged project.

Many thanks to @livbloore and @lightthemountain for their heavenly vocals.

Can’t forget @rishikowalski and @m__u__n__g__o for all their help with the visual identity of the project (thanks for the little video trailer above, Mungo!) by @poetmistry

Actually what is up with those flowers tho…they make me feel like I’m in Dark Souls or something.

Anyway, sign up is now open for my 8 week Ableton intensive. I know it’s a big commitment so literally dm me and I will talk it through with you and answer any questions you have and make sure it is actually a good fit for you!

I’m really not trying to “monetize” by selling a random course. I genuinely love teaching (and have been doing it for the last 8 years in universities, high schools and online) and I’d love to meet you and share all my crazy rants (but also help you make some dope music!) Hit me up if you’re at all interested! by @poetmistry
