One week ago, we had a privilege to celebrate, perform and listen to poetry at the National Poetry Collective Showcase at Brixton House. ✨ From heartfelt moments to laughter-filled performances, every poet brought something unforgettable to the stage. A huge congratulations to our incredible performers: Meri Brooks (@meribrookswriting ) – Learning to Read Florence Lesinski-Tubby (@grannypantsflo ) – A Piss in Peace Annie Rose (@annierosewrites_ ) – When the Wine Bottle is Empty Henry Lambert (@dailydoseof_henry_ ) – Dead Weight A very special shoutout for our Abi for leading and supporting the group every step of the way! You made this showcase so special. And thank you to Toby @tobycampion for being such a fantastic host, bringing so much warmth, humour, and energy to the entire event. And of course, a very special introduction to Speak Easy’s beloved mascot, Lord Biro, the newest poetry icon 🦋💗 We’re so proud to have shared this stage together, and we already can’t wait to do it all again next year. Until then, here’s to more words, more stories, and more unforgettable nights! #speakeasynotts #nottmcityoflit #writingeastmidlands #poetry #brixton by @poetry.collectives
