The Bismarck-Nationaldenkmal, a monument to Otto von Bismarck, was unveiled in Berlin in 1901. The monument was designed by Reinhold Begas. It depicts Bismarck in chancellor's garb, standing above allegorical figures: Atlas (Germany's world power), Siegfried forging a sword (industrial and military power), Germania taming a panther (quelling chaos and rebellion), and a sibyl reading from the book of history.

The monument originally stood on Königsplatz in front of the Reichstag, but in 1938 it was moved to the Tiergarten during Berlin's reconstruction as "Welthauptstadt Germania." It survived World War II almost intact—paradoxically, thanks to this relocation.

The Reichstag in its original form before the 1933 fire - with its monumental dome and ornate façade.

The building, designed by Paul Wallot and completed in 1894, was a symbol of German parliamentarism and the might of the German Empire. The architecture combines Neo-Renaissance with Baroque elements, and the former dome dominated the Berlin skyline until its destruction after the fire.

This is an attempt to recreate the Reichstag as it was at the turn of the 20th century - before history changed its fate. This is the second time I have built this building. This time, I have built it properly and faithfully to the original plan.

I will also be constructing the interior rooms and decorating them in a traditional style based on the original finishes. Another Reichstag design that participated in the competition is already under construction; more will follow soon.
