It’s no secret for the last few years this very space has been on survival to stay open. And the reason it is still open today is because of what it represents for many that walk through our doors.

It is more than just a pole dancing studio. It is a space where people feel safe to be their true self and not have to worry about judgment or discrimination. It is a place they come to leave their worries at the door to recharge, and feel empowered after to take control. It is the bond and sisterhood that cheers us to keep going and we celebrate each other, no matter how big or small.

And everyday I am grateful for those that have fought to keep this place open, and it makes me proud to know how much it means to them.

So if you are looking for a little respite from this crazy world we live in, join us. You have nothing to lose.

I blacked out mid performance.

I have been hesitating to post my performance from showcase. It isn’t close to what I had in mind to do,But here it is. Just 1 minute of this was choreographed and the rest I blacked out and freestyled. I had No idea what I did until after I watched the video.

I had been so busy and overwhelmed with the showcase preparation I didn’t get to finish choreographing my solo. I realised after that I was so focused on the details and trying to control every tiny movement that it made it so complicated.

It was a theme I wanted to do for a long time. A fusion of my heritage — Spanish/Chinese. Thanks to @summer_adc8 for convincing me to do this song that I’ve been wanting to for so so long.

So on the night, I winged it. I even told Angela who was doing the music that I’ll cue her at 2 minutes to cut the music because with most run throughs I’ve barely been able to make it past that.

The flower toss I added on the day when I found it during set up, the tricks are muscle memory,classic moves my body just did without a thought. Although my holy drop and jade could have been better, my transitions could have been smoother, and I could have tried not showing how tired I was, my inverted eagle was the best I’ve done in years and I know that I was being truly honest and authentic , totally in a trans state with the music that I knew deep in my bones.

After all, that was what I had been preaching to every single one of our students, go up there and just have fun! The energy from the crowd was wild and I truly believe it’s the only reason I finished the whole song!

I definitely want to keep working on this theme and bring out my true potential.

Spinning for a Good Cause

In just 3 weeks, our community came together to pull off 20 breathtaking performances and raised RM2,500 for Sabah Kinabalu Pink Ribbon, to support breast cancer awareness here in Sabah.

We couldn’t have achieved this without our generous sponsors for stepping up to support us:

@zenlifestyle.kk
@waterfly_borneo
@rich3al
@pole.oasis
@hanaa_wong_abdullah
@deannalsl
@cindyluilui
@blo.hair

(Plus some that wish to remain anonymous)

Thank you!

Thank you to every performer, guests, volunteer, and donor who made this possible and for making our showcase unforgettable and special.

To anyone fighting, surviving, or impacted by breast cancer—this effort is dedicated to you. We see you, we honor your strength, and we spin for you. Sending you so much love, hope, and strength.💕💕

Pole Oasis Showcase 17.08.2026

This solo piece was probably one of the hardest things Ive ever had to perform. Not physically, but emotionally. I had 3 weeks to prepare for this showcase but for the first 2 weeks… I couldn’t do anything coz every time I played the song, memories of ChuChu came flooding back, and I would just end up crying. I had so many second thoughts about whether I should even do this piece as I was afraid that I would break down and forget my entire routine.

During the performance, well damn... The amount of emotions and tears I was struggling to hold back and to not completely lose it.. God only knows.

Afterwards, I found out that I had brought a few people to tears too. That meant so much to me coz it meant that even without saying a word, I managed to express what I was feeling and somehow they felt it too.

So yes, this one is for you, ChuChu. Im still thinking about you and always will. My forever number 1. by @pole.oasis

Big thanks to @van_she_dance founder of @pole.oasis for blessing my new track Filthy ft. Zeyneb with you amazing moves 🙏❤️💃🏽😵😷 by @pole.oasis
