Here's how I knit cables without a cable needle, this time using my new KnitPro Symfonie 2 Grande set. I must admit that working with them is pure pleasure because the yarn glides smoothly, even silk mohair 🌸

I'm working on my Elodie Mohair Edition shawl, one of my own designs. The pattern is available via the link in my bio.

Since the shown pattern has a lot of cables, using this technique speeds up the whole process and makes it a lot easier 🌞

Have you tried knitting cables this way?

Somehow, this is already my fourth Elodie Mohair Edition and I'm still not done with this design. I'm already thinking about knitting another one in a more autumnal colourway. I'm on a mission to find a perfect shade!

This has become my comfort project: the kind of knitting that helps me settle into the rhythm of the pattern and focus on the making itself.

And the yarn? So soft that it makes the whole experience even better. I used wooden 3.5mm Symfonie needles and it worked great for me @knitproeu 🩷
The yarn is Soft Silk Mohair and Merino by @knittingforolive in the most beautiful purple colorway.

Apparently, one Elodie is never quite enough. I couldn't resist to wear it as soon I blocked it! And forgot to weave in the ends 🤭

Do you have a knitting pattern you keep coming back to, even after finishing it more than once?

If you'd like to knit your own Elodie, you can find the pattern via the link in my bio 🌿

The knitting delivery I’ve been waiting for finally arrived 🧶✨ Meet Symfonie 2 by @knitproeu !

My very first interchangeable needles were KnitPro Symfonie, so I was especially excited to try the new Symfonie 2 set.

I love the beautiful and vibrant 7-colour chevron design, and I can’t wait to put the Ultra Flex Cables to the test in my next projects.

Let’s get knitting! 💙

Did you know you can use a cotton merino blend to knit your Elodie for Spring? 🌸

I chose a cream colored fingering weight skein from @knittingforolive and silk-mohair in the same colorway to knit my triangular lace scarf and I'm delighted!

It makes a lighter fabric just perfect for warmer weather

You can find the knitting pattern on Ravelry or follow the link in my bio 💛

How to style a small knitted shawl 🤍
It is my favorite way to wear my newest shawlette this Spring! I love wearing it like a bandana 🤍

The knitting pattern is Elodie Mohair Edition, knit with only one skein of fingering weight merino and one skein of silk mohair in lace weight
Here, I'm wearing my sample in @gabo.wool

The pattern is so enjoyable to make that there is a high chance you will knit more than one Elodie! 🌞

You can find the pattern on Ravelry, follow the link in my bio 🌿

What's your favorite way to style a hand-knitted little scarf?

#elodiemohairedition by @polkaknits

Trying Gabo yarn for the first time and honestly… I already want to knit with it again 🌸🌸🌸

This new version of Elodie Mohair Edition is made with Polish yarns, and I love how soft and squishy the final fabric feels. It is a bit heavier than my last version, but I'm super happy with it. I used Mohsilko and My Time Merino @gabo.wool

It’s also one of my favourite things about small accessories like this, you can experiment with colours you wouldn’t normally choose, without committing to a full sweater project 🧶

All it takes is:
– one skein of fingering weight merino
– one skein of lace silk mohair
– and a few cosy evenings of knitting

This time the merino was just enough… which always makes the last rows a little stressful.
