The line I never thought I would have to write
but sadly, Pollo is no longer with us. đŸ•Šïž Yesterday, after the vet visit, we came home and he suddenly collapsed. He passed away peacefully in my arms on the couch. I’m completely heartbroken and feel lost. I truly believed we would have so many more years together. I’m going to take a few days to process everything. After that, we’ll figure out together what this page will become. I still want to continue advocating for rabbits and being a voice for them but it won’t be the same without Pollo. I know so many of you come here for your daily smile, and I’ve received so many kind messages from you already. It means more than I can put into words ❀ Rest in peace, my Pollo. You don’t have to fight anymore. You can finally eat without pain. I will miss you forever. by @pollothebunny

♄ by @pollothebunny

Your bunny doesn’t need the latest trends I know matching accessories and aesthetic bunny setups look beautiful, but do we really need to buy everything new? I try to shop second-hand, buy locally and reuse things I already have. I have an Amazon storefront linked in my bio, but rarely promote it because I don’t want to contribute to a culture of constant overconsumption. In this economy, with hay, food, litter and vet bills, not everyone can afford every new trend. And honestly, our bunnies don’t care if their toys match! My priorities will always be free-roaming space, good-quality hay, appropriate food, veterinary care and enrichment. I also forage whenever it’s safe, because nature has so much to offer. And just because something is marketed for rabbits doesn’t mean it’s actually good for them. The misinformation out there is crazy! Please do research. You don’t have to buy your way into being a good bunny owner. Second-hand finds, DIY toys and things you already have at home can be just as enriching. Let’s spend less on aesthetics and more on what truly matters: our bunnies’ wellbeing. What are your favourite ways to enrich your bunny’s life without buying new things? by @pollothebunny
