What an absolute privilege it was to perform our National Anthem at the @thenationalsvic State Conference this weekend. I’ve sung this anthem hundreds—maybe thousands—of times in my life, but doing it in a room full of people I deeply respect, admire, and in many cases, love, meant more than I can explain. It’s incredibly humbling to stand before a group so genuinely committed to crafting policy that improves life for regional and rural Australians. Being part of that space, as both a representative of the Gippsland region and anthem singer is incredibly rewarding. And yet… despite all those times singing it, I got one word wrong. Just one. But it stuck with me all day. So here’s the reminder I needed—and maybe you do too: we’re all human. Don’t let one small stumble take away from a meaningful moment.
