So proud of this client for how far she has come! I started working with her 1:1 and after that, she joined the app and has been making steady progress since. Periodically I’ll get an update, a question, and I’m always happy to help. She’s had some ups and downs along the way and had a fair amount of strength to gain, so it’s taken some time, but she’s so freaking close to her goal of a pistol squat (the weight provides a little counterbalance). Day 55/66 : Calisthenics is Unreal.. No doubt on that ✨ . Also just 11 days left and I've still not unlocked alot of skills, actually not any of them completely 😕 I'm still struggling to get that pistol squat on another leg , still stuck on my handstand situation and kickover is stuck on 3 pillows butttt we've got our own share of achievements too 😊 Can do a pistol squat on one side, can do the kickover with just 3 pillows and got alot of control on my handstands ✨ So even if i don't get all the way through these skills in the next 11 days , i won't be disappointed at all cause' the fact that we've managed to stick to this challenge consistently, every single day for this long is crazyyy and getting back on track with my calisthenics journey was the main purpose of this challenge and it served really well. ✌️😊 But I'm not losing any hope , we've still got 11 days and 11 days is not a short amount so yeahh letss goo ✨ . . . . . #calisthenics #calisthenicsmotivation #gymshark66 @gymshark . . . . . . . . 1. kettlebell contractions - may seem a bit strange and look kind of funny because you don’t see a lot of people doing them, but great for strengthening the hip flexors (I find that they’ve helped me) and I’m convinced it can be used for some heel hook training 😂 2. calf raises - could use no plates and can also use more plates, the higher angle with the plates works you more than without, and when you’re ready for it you can add some weight. As mentioned this is good for you legs and calves but also that ankle stability. 3. pistol squats… there’s always contention on whether these are useful or not but I enjoy doing them every now and then, I feel like there are times (on slab usually) where you need to do a gnarly pistol squat so I want to make sure I’m ready for that if the day does come. these exercises have helped me and hope they can help you too. #bouldering #climbing #climber #rockclimber
