Today we are featuring “Kabe shinbun/かべ新聞” (No. 11) published by Oita-ken Kohoshitsu/大分県広報室 in September 1949. It is 54 x 76 cm. Except for a small FILE stamp, there is no other markings left by the Civil Censorship Detachment (CCD).

The Prange Collection also holds Kabe shinbun by Oita-ken Kohoshitsu Issue 2, 3, 5, 6, 8-10, all published in 1949.

The poster lists up national holidays, and encourage people to raise the national flag on each holiday. At the lower right corner, there is a small blank section where each town and city can pencil in their own announcements for their sports-related events. by @prangecoll
