I played a couple of small 93/94 tournaments in Stockholm recently with this ”Soulsinger Singleton” deck, losing in the semis on both occasions. Not too bad vs creature based decks but struggles vs control…

Yesterday I played the Swedish Premodern Nationals, at the castle of Västerås, a location with an interesting history. ⚔️

Despite a rather short notice 96 players gathered for seven rounds of Swiss + top 8, making it the largest Premodern tournament in Sweden.

I brought my trusty Terrageddon and good times were had, even though I narrowly missed out on the top 8 as the only 5-1-1 players, ending up in ninth place just like last year. 😅

Stiflenought won the day versus Cradle Control in the finals.

Props to the local game store @rodagoblinen for a top notch event! 💪

Hey yall sorry we’ve been quiet!

We have been extremely busy trying to raise funds for the North American Premodern Champs 2027 at DURESSFEST

After the champs sold out in 90 seconds for 2026, we knew we needed to expand to a larger venue. But we need your help! We’re just a small group of individuals that do not have the kind of capital required to book a huge venue in Boston to hold 600 players.

Please support at our kickstarter at DuressFest.com ! Link in bio, details in stories. Feel free to ask me any questions. by @premodernmagic

Another brew that I played at our meetup some time ago but forgot to post….

Recurring Nightmare and Avalanche Riders seemed fun in particular but it felt a bit clunky in practice. I take any excuse to sleeve up Festering Goblin though. 😁

GW Survival-Terra hybrid. 🫠 I played this new brew of mine to a 4-0 record at our last pub meet-up in Stockholm. The deck felt underwhelming though and I think there are too many ideas going on at once here… Thoughts?

Bloodstill! 🩸 I played this brew at our pub meetup this week to a 1–3 record. A lot of ideas incorporated here, e.g. the possibility of breaking your own Standstill and then playing Blood Oath. Black Vise, though synergistic, is a bit hit or miss and should perhaps be in the sideboard only. The deck clearly needs some work, but Blood Oath is a helluva card deserving a good shell…

Also, I got to play Hibernation into Blood Oath which was fun. 😁

Matches
Pit-Rack 0–2
BG RecSur 2–0
Psychatog 1–2
UW Control 1–2
