I have spent the last five years learning, growing and navigating the travel and tourism industry, and I’m excited about what the next chapter holds. But first, let me reintroduce myself. I’m Precious Godman-Olatunde, a travel professional with experience in travel planning, operations, client management and creating seamless travel experiences. Having helped lots of travellers bring their travel plans to life, I believe great travel service is built on trust, attention to detail and proper coordination. This November marks 5 whole years of learning, unlearning and relearning in the travel industry. Five years of growth, resilience, valuable lessons, challenging experiences and gradually stepping into leadership. The last slide takes me back to my first day as a Travel Consultant Intern at my first travel company. I had little idea of what lay ahead, but I was eager to learn, grow and find my feet in an industry that would eventually shape my professional journey. Along the way, I had the privilege of meeting amazing people who shared their knowledge, offered guidance, challenged my thinking and taught me so much about the business. Some of the most valuable lessons I learned came from the people I worked with, and I’m grateful for the role they played in shaping the professional I am today. A year later, I transitioned into B2B Operations as an Associate at another travel company, where I gained a deeper understanding of travel operations, industry processes and client management. Two years later came another defining chapter: stepping into a Team Lead role. The responsibilities changed. Beyond individual performance, I was now making critical decisions, handling escalations, managing client relationships, leading teams and taking ownership of outcomes. It taught me that leadership goes beyond a title. It’s about accountability, sound judgement, emotional intelligence and taking responsibility, even when things don’t go as planned. And that was only part of the journey... look out for my next post Shot by @pauljolleyking #travelindustry #aviation #travel #travelmanager #travelsgency by @preshiyous
