First comp of the season and my BIG GIRLS showed up and SHOWED OUT!!

Everybody talks about all the work Team Moms do, but nobody talks nearly enough about how these kids sneak into your heart and turn your emotions every way but loose! 😮‍💨

I’m proud of my kids man! And a special nod to my Pud who was fighting her own personal battle this weekend. Seeing your kid struggle and feeling completely helpless is a mom gut-punch that nothing prepares you for. If I could do it for her, I would in a heartbeat but I’m proud of her FIGHT! She showed up for her teammates and THAT makes her a champion in my eyes!

ALSO, I should NEVERRRRRR be responsible for recording ANYTHING at a comp! 🥴

Congratulations TURBO on your FIRST win of the season! 🏁💕🥇🏆 by @prettypeculiargirl

Today, 18 years ago, after getting stuck in THEEE WORST Downtown DC traffic, my first daughter entered the world! She has been NOTHING but a joy from Day 1! Her mild temperament and calm demeanor are things I appreciate so much more these days 😶‍🌫️. Over the years she has become one of my best friends, prayer partners, and confidants.

@iamaeringabrielle I’m still not one of your little friends BUT you most definitely are one of mine! 😂

Love you, girlie! Happy 18th birthday!! 💐💐💐 by @prettypeculiargirl

It’s a holiday in my house because TODAY is the day we celebrate the baby of the bunch! 🎉

Few people will truly understand the depth of our bond. In one of my lowest seasons God gave me the most beautiful gift. She is literally the manifestation of beauty for ashes. My love for her knows no bounds!

She is the comedienne of the family. The one EVERYONE spoils! A good student. A loyal friend. Kind to strangers. Loves some tea! SUPER opinionated yet always open to consider differing perspectives. She’s a good sister - always asking me about the wellbeing of her siblings as if its her responsibility.

Today she is 11! So many changes and milestones this year…life is really moving fast. Lord help me to savor every moment🙏🏾

Happy birthday @growingupana ! Today we celebrate YOU! I hope you know how much you are LOVED and I hope your birthday is EVERYTHING you want it to be AND MORE! 🧁🥳 by @prettypeculiargirl

Woke up the mom of a @basis.dc Class of 2025 graduate!! 🥹♥️

To say that I’m PROUD is an understatement!

Watching her lead with quiet strength, AUTHENTICITY, and unapologetic faith has taught ME so much about how to show up in the world.

Beloved by friends, family, and our extended community, her calm and gentle spirit has impacted so many!

I am excited to celebrate her in this season because she NEVER seeks the spotlight - always preferring others over herself. She is a true servant-leader!

As she embarks on the next leg of her journey, I pray that she never lets ANYONE or ANYTHING dim her light because it’s HER time to shine!!

Aerin my dear, You did it!! ♥️🎓💐

Shine BRIGHT like the stars, Red Giant! The future belongs to you!!

Today my BIG girl made a decision to go down in the water…in Jesus’ name! 🙌🏾

To see what God has done in her life in a very short time is nothing less than remarkable!

Children are a GIFT from the Lord. We get the privilege of guiding them for a while but ultimately they belong to Him.

To see her make this step for herself is one of my greatest rewards.

I’ll be FOREVER GRATEFUL …

Happy birthday to the one who makes my heart smile! My safe space…my laughing buddy…the decoder of my insiders…best uncle to my kids…my free therapist…My “we listen and we don’t judge but we will definitely call you on your 💩” accountability partner…and so much more! #

I love you so much! I pray this new year unlocks so may open doors, opportunities, and answered prayers!

God did His BIG ONE with you…now let Him do His big one IN you! 🙏🏾✨ Happy Birthday, Brother! 🥳 by @prettypeculiargirl

Happy 19th to the first one who made my heart beat outside of my chest. To the one who grew up with me as I grew into motherhood. To the one who has loved me at my best and supported me at my worst and never judged me for any of it.

19 is nuts. How are we BOTH adults now??

To say that I’m proud of you would be a GROSS understatement. The accolades and accomplishments are cool but I’m truly just so PROUD of the MAN you already are. You’re SO much better than I ever was at your age.

Continue to soar and allow God to be the wind beneath your wings. @james.d.h.__ Happy birthday, kid! ♥️🥳 by @prettypeculiargirl
