Practicing storytelling in real time

Nothing to see here. Just a young woman who has now completed her first feature draft and will be rewriting before 2027 comes knocking. Regards, Prevail OJ Well uhm, I’m excited about this progress. Somewhere in 2023, I doubted 2 quadrillion times as to whether I could start and finish and a draft. Many short courses and too many YouTube videos later I am here. Thanks to my friends who made this deadline as real as it gets. I finished at 1 am on Monday morning just so I could keep every party involved that we are all on track. Pushing beyond emotions was my biggest lesson on starting this project. No matter how I felt while the going got hard I cherish the feeling of completing something as big as a first draft for the first time. Now I have proof that I can do it over and over again. by @prevail_oj
Amateurism does not suck when it’s the baseline to start from it probably start to be in our face too much when we should be practicing to leave there but stay warm and easy like it was our destination all along. by @prevail_oj
One thing that rings at the back of my head most days is a subtle reminder to win and on some days it doesn’t work that way. Eg: most period days😌❤️ Winter arc is great until the season ends and I didn’t finish what I started when it should already have finished. So finishing has been a big thing for me this and I am happy it went the way it did and the way it is going in the moment. From writing, to fitness to my daily mundane life, I am happy I always brought the ginger from no God knows where to finish the important frog eating business that happens every few days. In Alex Hormozi’s words paraphrased maintaining focus is like overcoming an addiction. While you celebrate day one and seven making the conscious decision to go on day number 8 and 9 is a very badass thing to do. Till next time, I will stay winning. #storytellinglife #womeninfilmmaking #winningatlife by @prevail_oj
GladI no longer wish I am writing but actually doing it thanks to all the willing and doing that brought us this far. #storytellinglife #womeninfilmmaking #writerdirectorproducer by @prevail_oj
My life will change fast and slow and very few things will remain. My values. My believe in God. The skills I develop today. What about you? 😎 #storytellinglife by @prevail_oj
I just want to win in this season of life. I am unsure how the 20s seem to be going for everyone else but I sure know I want to spend my finding ways to win and actually winning - and in this season learning to tell better story is it for it. Because I wanted more understanding as to how my body works and how to better utilize it, I leaned into understanding my period a bit more. @clueapp thank you for helping me at such an affordable entry price for year number one 🥹🤭 PSA: this is not a sponsored post. I just love the products way of helping me achieve my goals. #storytellinglife #womeninfilmmaking #follicular by @prevail_oj

I am not so proud of it but I have exchanged social gatherings for some protected writing time this year. I do not regret it. It has allowed me see everything that I could become with staying a bit longer with whatever skills you are developing. So yes, I am an unpaid writing who has success moved from one level of suck to another with joy in my heart. To more amazing stories to come cheers 🥂 #storytellinglife #womeninfilmmaking #londonworking by @prevail_oj
It was such a cool experiment merging these two music styles. You can’t get the feel of it until you listen to it. Let me know in the comments your thoughts on it. Meanwhile those clips were the summer and autumn giving each other hugs and saying goodbyes. #storytellinglife #jonbellion #judahearl by @prevail_oj
This is the type of ginger I spent the better part of my 2026 with. I am happy I did. While building the things I care about like writing, directing, and making someone feel something with one medium or the other has been done before, it has not done by me. Which is a very legitimate and valid reason to do it anyway. 🥳😎 #womeninfilmmaking #storytellinglife #london by @prevail_oj
I did it chief! I booked that race. I am getting a medal to show my kids that I am the #Runna type. Many of the things I have done this year are first including checking off a race. I made up my find to run a half when I completed a 10k walk run on a random Tuesday. Since then running has become one of my the things that my entire body know that we do not trying to do even if every time outside last for five minutes 🤭😂 To anyone else it is running, to me it is keeping the promise I made to myself which I am looking to translate into every thing else that I do. Young adulthood while learning new skills that set you straight is not a park stroll but in my experience this year alone, is always worth it! So here’s to training on colder days!! 🥳🤭 #firsthalfmarathon #storytellinglife #runnastic by @prevail_oj
Amateurism is one of the uncool places to be and only work can get you out it there not wishful thinking or waiting to be “discovered” as some wonderful potential. Alex Homozi will always say to work hard that it doesn’t make sense if you don’t achieve the reasonable outcomes you have set for yourself. Everyone who does really cool things was once a learner who made a deliberate decision to become “that” much better with whatever their thing is. #storytellinglife #turningpro #filmed by @prevail_oj
