The work outlasts the people who do it.
In Part One, we shared the story of the 22½ miles of pipeline Scotty Anderson and Ned Hall installed from Price Spring.

Part Two continues the Anderson-era story and reflects on the work one generation leaves for the next. Water, cattle, horses, and the everyday effort of keeping a ranch going. Those details help us understand the people who shaped Price Canyon and the history we’re working to preserve.

Did you spend time here during the Anderson years? We’d love to hear your memories and see any photos you’re willing to share.

The world may have just discovered the Chiricahua’s but we’ve been here for the last 140 years!

What an honor it is to finally have this amazing land nationally recognized and given the title it deserves. We’re excited to watch the rest of the world fall in love with this place.

Long before the Reeves family called Price Canyon Ranch home, this place had already made its mark as a destination for film and media production. From movies and television to countless stories captured across this landscape, there’s a lot of history woven into these hills.

Lately, we’ve been dreaming up ways to share our little slice of heaven with the world in a whole new way.

No, we won’t be a guest ranch or a hotel. 🤭 But something exciting is in the works, and we can’t wait to start letting you in on it.

Some places are meant to be experienced. Others are meant to inspire something worth sharing.

Stay tuned. There’s more to come. 👀

Our little corner of the world is officially on the map, as the official 64th national park!

We’ve been hinting about our plans for the future of PCR and this is such a great addition to those. We’re excited to see people fall in love with the Chiricahua’s just as we have.

22½ MILES FROM ONE SPRING
Some ranch history is written in deeds. Some is branded into cattle. And some of it runs underground.
In 1967, Scotty and Alice Anderson, along with Bowie rancher Ned Hall, bought the Jack Glass Ranch in Price Canyon.
Scotty remembered running about 400 head of crossbred cattle while welcoming roughly 200 guests a year. Over three decades, he estimated that more than 6,000 visitors came from all 50 states and 15 foreign countries.
But one of the most lasting pieces of the Anderson-Hall era was built into the ranch itself.
Scotty wrote that he and Ned installed 22½ miles of pipeline from Price Spring, carrying water to 25 locations across the ranch.
In cattle country, water changes everything. Where cattle can graze, how the country can be used, and how a ranch survives.

PART TWO: coming soon🤠

Before our horses ever hit the show pen or the rodeo, they learn how to be a working ranch horse. Everything from packing salt and supplies through the canyons, sorting, dragging calves and so much more.

We’ve found taking these well bred horses and giving them a job on the ranch makes for an even better performance horse. We’re excited to begin introducing you to each individual athlete and taking you along on our journey in the arena and the ranch.

Stay tuned🙌

Our little oasis✨

One thing about PCR is at every turn you’ll find beauty, peace, picture perfect settings and incredible back drops! We have something special we’re working on and can NOT wait to release the info🤭

One of the most unique locations in all of the USA.

Tucked into the Chiricahua Mountains, Price Canyon has been shaped by generations of people, cattle, and a landscape unlike anywhere else.

From its roots dating back to 1879 to the ranching tradition that continues today, this is a place where past is still very much alive.
