We have another phenomenal silent auction item that will be up for bid at our annual fundraiser, Une Nuit Pour Les Filles. A Chef's Tasting Menu for Two from @cholon_denver valued at $250! This one is going to be popular. ChoLon is a sleek Asian fusion restaurant in Downtown Denver, and it's the perfect spot for a romantic date night. The ambiance, food and signature cocktails are all superb. @condenasttraveler called ChoLon "sophisticated and exuberant," which really captures the vibe of this Denver favorite. The executive chef and owner of ChoLon is @lonsymensma and he has curated a unique and exceptional Asian fusion menu that is unrivaled in Denver. ChoLon has earned notable local and national accolades, most famously for its signature French Onion Soup Dumplings. They are truly extraordinary. Their Dim Sum creations are unique and mind-blowingly delicious. And don't get us started on the salmon. Thank you to the team at @cholon_denver for your generous donation to our annual @pridepadsafrica silent auction. Tickets to our annual fundraiser on November 8th in Boulder, CO are linked in our bio. We'd love to see you there, and you'll be helping change the lives of schoolgirls in Cameroon. #denverdining #ChoLon #asianfusion #pridepadsafrica #silentauction by @pridepadsafrica

While conducting menstrual health education seminars in Ngaoundéré-area schools, the PridePads team found that many girl students missed an average of five to seven days of school per month due to their period. This equates to missing 20% of total instruction time annually. At PridePads Africa, we believe menstrual health and hygiene is a crucial step in the road to gender equality. Please consider making a donation to PridePads Africa to help us continue this important work. Every dollar counts in the fight to end harmful menstrual taboos and stigmas. It costs just $34 per year for PridePads Africa to provide a full annual supply of menstrual pads for one girl. But we don't just give the girls pads, we supply them knowledge. Complimentary PridePads are distributed at every school visit, and our PridePads team in Cameroon conducts menstrual health education at every visit. Outreach sessions cover female reproductive biology, proper menstrual hygiene management, tracking menstrual cycles, and the physical changes associated with puberty. There is always a lengthy question and answer session, because many of these girls have never talked about their period before. Would you consider sponsoring one girl, and providing a year's supply of menstrual pads? There's a link in our bio. If you cannot donate, please share our post! Thanks Everyone, for your continued support of @pridepadsafrica. #periodequality #Cameroon #menstrualeducation ##endperiodpoverty by @pridepadsafrica

Last year, we reached 7,544 students and women. This year, we’ve already reached 8,162 — and the year isn’t even over yet. Seeing our impact grow reminds us why we do this work, but it also reminds us that there is still so much more to be done. We’re proud of this milestone, grateful to everyone who has helped make it possible, and more motivated than ever to keep pushing forward. 8,162 so far… and we’re not finishing there. #PridePads #PeriodPoverty #MenstrualEquity #WomenEmpowerment by @pridepadsafrica
Back to school should mean new classes and new opportunities — not worrying about whether your period will keep you out of the classroom. For many girls in Cameroon, limited access to menstrual products, menstrual health education, and the stigma surrounding menstruation can create barriers to attending school. At Pride Pads Africa, we work to change that. Through biodegradable menstrual pads, menstrual health education, and community-based efforts to combat menstrual stigma, we’re helping girls manage their periods with confidence— so their education doesn’t have to pause when their period starts. This back-to-school season, help us make periods one less barrier to education.
