What will the future look like, and who gets to shape it? We spent two days at @futureforum.co in King’s Cross with people from every sector, and one rule: leave your lane. The thread running through it, when everyone has the same tools and the same information, what sets you apart is being yourself. Swipe for what stuck with us. Creative education matters a lot to us, so it was great to hear it discussed in a room that wasn’t just designers ano educators. Thank you to the @futureforum.co team for bringing us together. by @priestmangoode
On 18 September we opened the doors of our studio for The Making of a Designer: From Curiosity to Career. Thank you to everyone who joined us. The evening was generous, curious and full of conversation. We shared the work of the students and teachers who spent time with us this year, and asked guests to add a card to our board about the people and moments that shaped their creative paths. Almost every card described a person rather than a programme: a teacher, a parent, a tutor, a first masterclass. The full event write-up is now online. It sets out our Discover, Develop, Launch framework and our next steps towards making routes into design less dependent on chance. Read more via the link in our bio. by @priestmangoode
For INSIGNIA, PriestmanGoode spent time in Colombia, drawing on local craft and provenance throughout the design process. Inspired by the craftsmanship, artistry and land of Colombiam; textures inspired by straw work and traditional basketry appear across cabin surfaces, referencing Colombian artisanal techniques encountered firsthand. Pattern work inspired by woven structures brings an architectural, hand-crafted quality to the space. The palette moves away from Avianca‘s punchy signature red toward a softer, more refined story suited to the cabin environment. Warm neutrals and a secondary monochromatic palette are grounded by rich earth tones, with the @avianca red returning as a considered accent rather than the dominant note. Bronze metallic detailing runs throughout, adding warmth and a sense of quiet luxury. The seat’s dress cover stitching takes its cue from Colombia’s skies, tracing the swooping form of the condor that anchors the @avianca brand mark. @avianca has unveiled INSIGNIA, its new Business Class experience aboard its Boeing 787 aircraft, designed by PriestmanGoode. Developed as part of the retrofit of Avianca’s Boeing 787 fleet and the launch of the airline’s new brand identity, INSIGNIA is Avianca’s first fully reimagined Business Class experience and the latest evolution of its premium offering. The design translates the airline’s new brand identity into a physical space, drawing on the idea at the heart of the INSIGNIA brand mark: the meeting point of earth and sky at the summit of a mountain, a symbol of elevation and refinement. Built on a platform seat, fully reimagined through colour, material and finish, INSIGNIA delivers a flatbed with 180°degree recline. The new cabin also features a suite with a door and divider for greater privacy, a spacious table, 4K high-definition screens and Bluetooth connectivity. DAY/DREAM Economy starts with a simple challenge: how do you create a comfortable, private sleeping environment within a high-density daytime configuration? The answer is a 2+2 daytime seating arrangement that rotates overnight into a single, full-length, fully flat 1,900mm bed, within exactly the same footprint. A full-height retractable privacy screen encloses the sleeping space. When day begins, it retracts completely, restoring the open daytime layout as if the night never happened. The seat mechanism is currently patent pending. Read more about DAY/DREAM via the link in our bio. #innotrans2026 #DAY/DREAM #priestmangoode #passengerexperience by @priestmangoode
DAY/DREAM Business Class is designed around the changing needs of a long journey. By day, a 1+1 seating configuration gives passengers space to work or relax, with integrated tables, storage, reading lights and wireless charging. By night, the same space transforms into a private, lie-flat bed. But the thinking goes beyond the seat. We worked with three specialist material partners, @muirheadleather, sekisui_kydex and @testoritextiles, with materials applied across First Class, Business Class and Economy. Across all three classes, materials adapt in application and finish as the level of service, experience and space increases. The result is a consistent material language across the train, with each class expressing it in a different way. By day, DAY/DREAM First Class gives passengers generous space to sit, work, talk or travel together. By night, the same space transforms into a fully private, lie-flat sleeping environment for one or two people. Full-length acoustic curtains create individual cabins, each lockable via a unique QR code linked to the passenger’s own device. But privacy isn’t just a First Class consideration. It’s an essential part of the DAY/DREAM experience across all three classes. From First to Business to Economy, personal safety and privacy are designed into the overnight environment, creating spaces that feel more secure, considered and personal when travelling at night. Because the journey itself should be part of the experience. Today we’re launching our latest rail concept at #innotrans2026. DAY/DREAM rethinks the overnight journey by transforming existing European rolling stock from a daytime seating environment into a considered sleeping experience. The same carriage. Two modes. A different passenger experience. Across First, Business and Economy, spaces transform through the day and night - creating dedicated environments for working, travelling, eating, relaxing and, when the sun goes down, sleeping. And it’s designed around the trains we already have. No dedicated sleeper fleet. No new vehicle procurement. Just a new way to think about overnight rail. Read more about DAY/DREAM via the link in our bio. The team are at InnoTrans 2026 this week, if anyone would like to find out more or discuss the concept. by @priestmangoode
One week to go until InnoTrans 2026. The PriestmanGoode team is heading to Berlin, and this year we're bringing something new: DAY/DREAM. A rail concept that reimagines the overnight journey. One carriage, designed to work as a lounge by day and a considered sleeping environment by night, using existing rolling stock. Full reveal next week, live from the show. You can explore the materials behind the concept with our partners next week: Muirhead - Hall 2.2, Stand 460 SEKISUI KYDEX - Hall 5.1, Stand 415 Testori Textiles - Hall 1.1, Stand 832 If you're attending, we'd love to meet, hear what you're working on, and share our thinking on rail design. by @priestmangoode

2026 marks the year we’re celebrating the combined 80th Jubilee of three of our incredible directors Chris Parker, Kirsty Dias, and Son Tran, whose expertise have been shaping PriestmanGoode for the last 30 years. To honour their dedication and commitment to PG, we wanted to share some stories and memories from three of our most senior and celebrated members of staff, to learn more about the people who have shaped PG into the proud company it is today. Click the link in our bio to find out more about their career highlights, why they’ve stayed and what they’d tell their younger selves. by @priestmangoode
We teamed up with MA Industrial Design students at Central Saint Martins for a live brief exploring safety and inclusion for women on the railway as part of our ongoing Women's Safety in Rail campaign. Over several weeks, students tested ideas directly on the Tube, built prototypes, and pitched their concepts to our design team. Three teams were shortlisted: - Care Lines, a squeeze-activated care point built into the carriage pole, making support feel tangible before danger escalates - A redesigned seat + grip pole, reducing the spatial ambiguity that lets harassment go unchallenged - Olie, a friendly, visible "watching" character + SOS app, because visibility protects. We're also thrilled to be offering an internship to Ornella Romagnoli, who'll keep developing this work with us. Full story on our website via the link in bio by @priestmangoode
