October Members of the Month: Camerin & Elijah! Camerin and Elijah embody what it truly means to “Be the Change!” 💙 Showing up in educational spaces and reminding our scholars that education is powerful and important, they lead by example and inspire others through their actions. Thank you both for your commitment to the mission of Project 2 Percent, for consistently showing up, pouring into our scholars, and being the change you want to see in the world. Your dedication and impact do not go unnoticed, and we are grateful to have you as part of our P2P family! 👏🏾 #Project2Percent #MemberOfTheMonth #CommunityImpact #BeTheChange by @proj.ect2percent
We’re a part of the 2%… of course we’ve heard all the stereotypes. 👀 Project Two Percent is committed to challenging the assumptions placed on Black male educators and reminding the world that their talents, impact, and purpose extend far beyond the roles others expect them to fill. We’re not here to fit the stereotype. We’re here to increase the 2%. ✊🏾 #ProjectTwoPercent #IncreasingThe2Percent #BlackMaleEducators #AggieEducators #NCAT by @proj.ect2percent
Project Two Percent’s first Aggie Academy mentorship session was a success! Our 3rd–5th grade students learned about the importance of education and why having educators who look like them in the classroom matters. 📚 Our members, who are now officially mentors, assisted students with group reading and dialogue, a creative classroom design activity, and writing heartfelt letters to some of their favorite educators. We are excited to continue inspiring, encouraging, and building relationships with our students throughout this mentorship journey! #ProjectTwoPercent #IncreasingThe2Percent #BlackMaleEducators #AggieEducators #NCAT by @proj.ect2percent
