POSTS STORIES REELS

A new chapter. 💚

Project Emerald is evolving, and we’re excited to share where we’re heading next.

From 30 September 2026, Project Emerald’s marketplace will be taking an intentional pause as we focus on what comes next.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey, whether you’ve bought, sold, listened, joined a conversation, shared our work or simply followed along.

The marketplace may be pausing, but the story continues.

We’d love for you to come with us.

Ever said no to an invitation because you felt you had nothing to wear?

Sometimes, it's not really about the clothes. It's about feeling like we belong, fit in, and are comfortable being ourselves.

In this conversation, Tanya Ellis joins us to explore personal style, confidence, identity and how we can stop letting what we wear hold us back from experiences.

It's a conversation worth hearing! 💚

Do you ever look at your wardrobe and think, I have all these clothes and nothing to wear?

When you know what you love and what works for you, you don't need a wardrobe full of clothes. You likely just need pieces you actually enjoy wearing, not things you bought because they were trending or everyone else had them.

And sometimes, the best finds are the ones you pick up second-hand at an op shop or market.

In our latest podcast conversation @s.and.i.styling and I bust the myth that stylists will insist you buy more. Often it’s about working out what your style is, and a few key pieces that you love can often help bring together multiple looks. Loved the chat Tanya thank you!

Close to 100 women added their thoughts to our activation station at the recent @tasmanianfashionfestival in response to the question ‘What do you wish the world understood about being a woman?’

Each of them was unique, just like each us. These are just some of them….

More discussions need to be had around these loaded questions, so we can use our voices to be heard, and create the change we wish to see in the world.

The Project Emerald Collective podcast brings together women from all walks of life, all ages, to share their stories, experiences and wisdom to increase our awareness of the power and agency we do have to create that change.

These answers will shape future podcast conversations. To everyone that contributed, thank you. We hope to bring more of these activation stations to events across the country.

Who you were then doesn’t have to define who you are now.

Sometimes, growth means letting go of the labels, beliefs, and versions of ourselves that no longer fit.

Maybe it was the need to please everyone. The fear of starting over. Or a story you kept telling yourself about who you were supposed to be.

This week, we want to hear from YOU.

What’s one identity, label, or belief you’ve outgrown—and what helped you let it go?

Share your story in the comments. Your experience might be exactly what another woman needs to hear today. 💜

Let’s remind each other that we’re allowed to change, evolve, and become someone new.

Have you ever outgrown an identity you’re still trying to live up to? 💭Or subconsciously let someone’s words or labels for you hold you back?

I loved this conversation with Dr Rebecca Chabot about identity, change, and learning to listen to ourselves beneath all the noise, expectations, and busyness of everyday life.

We explored what it means to let go of who we think we should be and make space for who we’re becoming.

Watch, reflect, and tell me in the comments: What’s one thing you’re ready to outgrow?

“How are you?”
“I’m so busy.”

How often is that our answer?

There’s always something to do. Someone who needs us. Another thing to tick off.

But somewhere between keeping up and getting everything done, we can stop noticing how we actually feel.

In this clip, Dr Rebecca Chabot talks about getting still enough to listen to ourselves.

Even a small pause can give us space to ask: What do I need today? 🤍

Where could you make a little more stillness this week?

“Why do I have nothing to wear?” The answer often goes deeper than our wardrobes.

At @tasmanianfashionfestival I had the privilege of hosting this meaningful conversation with Tanya Ellis, Tamika Bannister, and Sharon Craggill.

We explored how our bodies change, our lives evolve, and our identities grow, yet we often hold on to clothes, expectations, and versions of ourselves we’ve already outgrown.

Maybe having nothing to wear isn’t always about needing something new. Maybe it’s an invitation to rediscover who we are, embrace who we’re becoming, and let go of who we think we should be.

Because fashion can be more than what we put on our bodies. It can be a reflection of how we see ourselves, the choices we make, and the values we carry.

What if getting dressed became less about keeping up with trends and more about showing up as ourselves?

Important and thought provoking conversations like this after what we have regularly on The Project Emerald Collective podcast- follow along wherever you listen to your podcasts 🎧

“We are the glue that holds everything together.”

How often do we stop and think about everything women hold together every single day?

The families we care for. The teams we support. The communities we show up for. The little things we remember, the invisible work we do, and the people we hold up, often without anyone noticing.

At our Project Emerald activation wall at the recent @tasmanianfashionfestival women put these feelings into words, in response to the loaded question - What do you wish the world understood about being a woman? And reading their notes reminds us of something important: behind so much of what keeps the world moving, there are women giving their time, energy and care.

But even the glue needs support.

What would it look like if women didn't always have to hold everything together alone?

💬 Tell us in the comments: Who holds you together when you need it most?

🎙️ PPL’s ON A PODCAST

As apart of our involvement with the @circularfashionfestival PPL co-founder Lulu joins Eve McIntyre on the Project Emerald Collective Podcast to chat about how community can change the way we shop.

How do we make second-hand fashion the first choice, not through guilt or sacrifice, but by making it joyful, social and easy?

From the psychology behind what we buy to the thrill of finding something one-of-a-kind, they explore how pre-loved fashion can become less of an alternative and simply the way we shop.

Because fashion can be fun, social AND circular.
