Exploring the hidden insecurities, emotional conflicts, and inner battles faced behind closed doors, Nigerian 2D illustrator and character designer Prospect brings psychological depth and personal storytelling into his artwork.

As a digital artist and content creator based in Nigeria, Prospect creates compelling visual narratives through illustrations, character designs, and music cover art. His creative practice blends imagination, identity, and cultural expression, transforming ideas and emotions into engaging works of art.

His standout piece, Two Sides of a Coin: Conflicted, captures the struggle between choosing a secure conventional path and pursuing the passion that defines one’s purpose. Through expressive characters and thoughtful compositions, Prospect uses art to explore the complexities of human experience.

Beyond creating, he shares tutorials and process videos that educate and connect with his growing community. By combining his love for cartoons, character design, and emotional storytelling, Prospect continues to establish himself as a powerful voice in Nigeria’s evolving digital art scene.

Two sides of a coin: Conflicted (3D Rendition)

Conflicted was a collaboration between I and @prospect_benneth . It reflects the true nature of a human; our highs and lows, our strengths and insecurities.

I was able to improve on both my sculpting, retopology, texturing and grooming capabilities during the process of creating this 3d rendition. It forced me to learn 3d hair grooming😅😅😅😅 and gradually increase my confidence in that.
I hope you all like these renders and the story it reflects, also don't forget to check out my artstation portfolio for more images on this project and @prospect_benneth original 2d art. by @prospect_benneth

Prospect U. N. Benneth is a 23-year-old 2D digital artist based in Lagos, Nigeria.

From childhood, Prospect was drawn to art, cartoons, and storytelling — filling pages with imagination long before it became a career. That early love has grown into a full-time practice centred on 2D illustration and craft, with a distinct style that blends vibrant colour, character, emotional experience, and Nigerian cultural expression.

Currently expanding his creative range, Prospect is also learning 3D animation while continuing to produce commissioned illustrations, prints, and original artwork. His work celebrates both nostalgia and now — bridging the cartoons that shaped him with the stories he wants to tell today.

With a passion for building worlds on screen and on paper, Prospect is committed to growing Africa’s digital art scene one illustration at a time. by @prospect_benneth

Two sides of a coin : conflicted
This art piece reflects the nature of every human. We see only the beauty of a person, not knowing the hidden battles they face behind closed doors .🚪
Everyone has something they are fighting, be it an inner war, a demon, a habit or even finding it hard to make the right decisions for their future, etc.
I know this feeling too well because I’ve been their, trying everyday to chose between a normal life (following a professional career in life and forgetting art in general) or continue in my beautiful craft (art)and trust God and the process.
I choose to trust God and the process, I choose my ART!!!! It is who I am.

Will you like to have a physical print of this work?
If yes, I’m a dm away by @prospect_benneth
