DRY FIRE!!!

This is one of my favorite dry fire drills.

1” squares at 5 yards.

On the beep draw and “fire” 1 round into one of the 1” squares on your target.

My goal is to do it under 1.5 seconds.

I do it 10 times, and repeat the session 3 times before moving to a different skill.

What this drill focuses on:
1) reaction to the timer
2) consecutive consistent draws
3) consecutive consistent grips
4) trigger prep
5) consistent dot acquisition
6) consistent trigger press

ELEVATE YOUR SHOOTING SKILLS

Whether you’re a seasoned shooter or an intermediate looking to break through plateaus, this 8-hour performance pistol course is designed to build the confidence, consistency, and speed required for real-world application or competitive performance

Making the decision to have my lower right leg amputated was the hardest decision I’ve ever made. I wasn’t sure what my path back to firearms instruction would look like, or if there’d be one at all. There was a lot to relearn: stance, balance, weight transfer, all the fundamentals I used to take for granted.

I’m back. Not the same as before, but sharper in some ways. I feel more deliberate, more patient, and better equipped to help students learn and be safe.

I am teaching a Performance Pistol course October 3rd. If you are interested there is a link in my bio.

You should meet your neighbors.

I see it across all social media platforms. Constantly.

"How do I find guys to train with"

Here's one way.

This is an experiment. Idaho-particularly North Idaho- is notorious for distrusting everyone and everything.

I want people to meet up, get to know your neighbor. Break bread. Maybe learn something. Maybe teach something they're good at.

You're not going to become blood brothers with everyone you meet-that's ok.

Drop a comment or a DM. What can you contribute? What do you want to get out of an event like this?

I had the pleasure of spending the weekend banging primers with @teknicalmethodz . What an AWESOME course. We did some serious R&D and exploration with speed and accuracy.

I would like to thank a few AMAZING companies.

@fowlerindustries industries for making the best 2011/1911DS pistols on the market.

@gunbutterofficial for coming out and shooting with us for the weekend. Providing an amazing lubricant that kept all of the guns going. Also just for being a cool dude.

@badlandsmco @badlandsmunitionsco for the ammunition that most of the class was shooting all weekend. And for the ammo donation. The vanta rips with the 135gr Jell-O shots

@wildertactical with the amazing donations of gear and gift certificate that were given away during competitions.

@grpstr_ for the donation of “the sauce” keeping everyone married to the gun all weekend.

@medusatargets for giving us the best targets to shoot all weekend. by @psoctraining

@hunterfreelandshooting is coming to Spokane June 13-14th to teach performance pistol. There are a few spots left. This is a must take class for any serious pistol shooter.

Starting to work strong and weak hand index. Still not confident with my weak hand but that’s gonna change.
